WinUAE continue sa progression avec la publication d'une nouvelle version beta. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- B8 Blerkenwiegel workaround caused buffer overflows in some situations. Fix improved.
- MoreNewStuffy fix (231b11) was not complete, non-modulo bitplane DMA fetches work differently than modulo adding DMA fetches. (Alpha and Omega / PMC)
- Also above behavior seems to only happen with first plane fetch. (New and Better Routines / Cult) This needs more testing, someday..
- '?' disk info button now opens normal dialog window, disk label also included (if dos disk) and type of bootblock (1.x standard, 2.x+ standard, custom)
- When loading config that has 2 identical game controllers configured in both ports and only one controller is connected, connected controller was inserted in both ports.
- GamePorts panel port change behavior improved, if new device is already inserted in other port, device in other port is now always automatically changed, not the one you just changed.
- When clicking mouse that is not inserted in either Amiga port and host system has only one mouse connected, "Windows mouse" is inserted, not HID mouse.
- 68020 more compatible without cycle-exact works again and also uses new 68020 CE prefetch method.
- 68010 is now supported in more compatible and cycle-exact modes. New instructions supported and new stack frames emulated but timing is same as 68000, 68010 special timing improvements and loop mode is not emulated. At least not yet.
- 68010 emulation used some 68020+ only exception stack frames.
- FPU emulator now properly uses prefetch buffer emulation if more compatible or cycle-exact is enabled. Emulated program crashed in older versions with some FPU instructions.
- On the fly switching from fastest possible to prefetch ("more compatible") or CE didn't fill prefetch buffers and usually caused emulated program to crash.
- Added "Log window" checkbox to Paths panel, easier non-command line method to open log window.
- On the fly change of A1000 Agnus or No-EHB Denise Advanced chipset didn't do anything.
- A1000 Agnus and vertical bitplane start (DIWSTRT) of zero: nothing happens, bitplanes are only enabled if it is 1 or larger.

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur arcade a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
The main features of this version are more hack possibilities :
- You can now change the neocd bios or the neogeo bios on the fly, without even rebooting the game. For the neocd bios, if you want to choose a non standard bios, it must be outside any zip file and have a .bin extension. Every bios will be accepted, and they won't be tested for missing features for now, so if it crashes, don't complain !
- Abitlity to change soft dips from within any neogeo or neocd game : just go to the neocd options, choose soft dips, and make your changes. For neocd games, the settings are saved and reloaded automatically in an external file, for neogeo games they are saved in the backup ram. Some settings like "blood color" for metal slug take effect immediately. For neogeo games you can change these settings just after loading the game only if it already has an entry in the backup ram. If not, just start the game a few seconds and the settings will become available. Here is a picture of what you can expect (here from Neo turf masters) :
- Ability to change "debug dips". To change these you need 1st to start the game so the ram is initialized, if you change them before that, your changes will be lost. Changes here are not saved. These are debug dipswitches which were probably available only on the dev machines. Anyway there are some interesting possiblities with some games. See this picture for example (in metal slug 2).
- The list of debug dips come from this site : http://www.neo-geo.com/wiki/index.php?title=Neo-Geo_Big_List_of_Debug_Dipswitches, this page is converted to text in the config directory of raine, don't delete this file, or all the debug dips will appear as "unknown". That's also the case if you load a game without any entry in the file. Some games might have some unknown effects not discovered yet, you can try that if you wish. There is also a "developper mode" setting in the neocd opotions now which might need to be enabled for the debug dips to work (it's rarely the case though).Some games have some notes which will not appear in the debug dips in raine, so it's a good idea to take a look at this page too.
- Except these main features, a few more neogeo games, including some big encrypted ones this time, a new experimental way to fight the slowdowns in metal slug 2, a fix for some bad colors in loading animations in neocd in some very specific situations, and a few minor fixes...
- Ah also, if some people have raine crashing as soon as they try to run any game, it's very probably because you enabled "data execution prevention", raine needs data execution because of its assembler code which auto modifies itself. Cet émulater Amiga pour Windows, MacOS et Linux a été mis à jour. Seuls les fichiers pour Windows et MacOS sont disponibles sur notre site, ceux pour Linux devant être récupérés directement sur les dépôts. Voici la liste des nouveautés:

- Note that the MRLE codec shows up some endian-issues on the Amiga OS4 port of MPlayer, so it will sound crappy and have wrong colours until those bugs are fixed :-(

Raine est décidemment très actif dernièrement. Voici les nouveautés de cette version:
- Ok, finally here is the beginning of 0.63. For now it doesn't have all the neogeo games yet, but since there are now more than 1000 arcade games emulated, I thought it was enough to make a release (1016 games reported by -gl).
- Except that a few fixes went in again, like a better cold boot, yet another improvement for the kof94 neocd "how to fight", memory cards for neogeo get "-neogeo" in their names to avoid to overwrite neocd memcards, the cheat codes were converted from neocd to the arcade version for mslug and mslug2, and a big improvement to speed hacks during raster frames which allows to have them again as a yes/no choice instead of a frequency as in last version.
- Also there is a serious fix about corrupted hiscores which can make a game unplayable, in mslug you can start in an empty 1st level with such corrupted hiscores. It shouldn't happen anymore now, but if you have a doubt you can always delete your .hi files from the savedata directory.
- I guess thanks go to mer-curious for his bug reports which improve the quality of the emulation, even though some of these reports make me crazy sometimes !

There are some more things planned for 0.63, but I needed a break here !
Ah yes, among the neogeo games added : I thought irrmaze would be too easy with a real mouse instead of a trackball, well try it, and you'll see ! The mouse isn't even too sensitive, it feels perfect, it's just the game which is crazy !
And popbounc refuses to read the mouse, it seems to take only keyboard input for now, I don't know why.

Ce célèbre émulateur Amiga pour Windows a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
NOTE: 68020 CE mode should be usable again.

- Added CIA tod bug option to Advanced chipset. Demo The end / Trilobit running under KS 1.3 has corruption in "photos" part if tod alarm bug is not emulated. KS 1.3 + real A500 does not have corruption. (I don't understand what is going on, some programs require this bug, some will hang if it is emulated. There has to be some unknown variable.)
- Writing to DIWSTOP during mid scanline and new value matches current vertical line: bitplane DMA fetches stop. Fixes Demo Starflight / Phenomena, OCS only. Interestingly ECS DMA fetches restart when DDFSTOP matches, causing scroller to jump horizontally.
- Writing to BPLxMOD exactly one cycle before bitplane fetch that also adds modulos uses old modulo value. (Copper Slave / Ram Jam)
- Mouse was uncaptured when switching from non-fullwindow to fullwindow mode.
- b8 hires unaligned check removed, it was wrong, logic analyzer confirmed.
- CMPA idle cycle was 2 cycles too slow in 68000 CE mode.
- Tape read command returned size of read request, not actual length which may be smaller than request size.
- OCS/ECS "7-planes" feature got broken in b8.
- HAM mode double pass display emulation's first pass didn't reset colors back to original before second pass. (Animotion / Phenomena)
- New memwatchpoint code didn't work with CIA registers.
- Log message if bitplane DMA ends at 0xe2 (can happen if start position is unaligned enough), this causes odd looking corruption on real hardware. (each scanline has random looking few pixels shift). Previously only DMA that ended at the start of next scanline were logged.
- Sprite vertical start == sprite DMA first line won't enable sprites. (Ultrademo #1 / The Link)
- If windowed mode was reset (for example RTG to custom chipset mode change) and mouse was not captured but window had focus: input got disabled, extra mouse click was required to enable input.
- Copper cycles were emulated too early before bitplane DMA decisions, copper might have used cycle reserved for bitplane DMA in some situations.
- Added "?" buttons to floppy GUIs. Current implementation is very lazy, few lines of information, boot block contents and it opens in default text editor.
- Limit VPOSW refresh rate display size changes to sane values, min display size is 256 lines and max is not allowed outside PAL size. Reduces flickering if program does something really weird or stupid with VPOSW.

Second 68EC020 cycle-exact emulation rewrite. Timing may not be much better but cycle usage emulation should be much more closer to real hardware. (This needs logic analyzer check but I don't have all required hardware yet)

Lots of work left to do but at least it should not be any worse than old code and it also should be much more accurate now when code has small loops (for example stupid CPU delays).

If there are no demos or games that break or run really badly compared to 2.6.1, this is not anymore showstopper for 2.7.0 release.

NOTE: 68030 can queue data memory accesses, this is not yet emulated.

Une mise à jour rapide, mais uniquement pour Windows, de cet émulateur a été effectuée pour corriger un bug introduit dans la dernière version. Voici de quoi il s'agit:
- Tsss... the version from yesterday crashed if you tried to display the game selection dialog without roms... that's what I get when I release in the middle of something because I have lots of fixes... !
- Anyway, except this fix, this one gets another fix for kof94 "how to play" and other neocd games loading data outside their limits, and a few neogeo clones including kof97oro.

Cet émulateur arcade a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
In the news : the demos from 0.43.4 are available again, except that for now they are as basic as what they were in 0.43, but if you want to test that already, it's shift-f2 to save and shift-f4 to load, or change this in the gui.
Also the windows binary is recompiled to be able to read mp3s containing id3v2 tags. For linux, notice that it requires a special sdl-sound version, the one from the mercury repository and not the latest official release, so depending on what your release currently has, it might work or not for you in linux. It should be in debian and ubuntu soon anyway.
Except that, a ton of fixes, I won't list them all here, read the last posts in the forum or have a look at the git log in the git area. In random order : improved the dac sound to work with the new sound interface of version 0.62, matmania for example has a better sound now. Windows should have stable colors when loading a cps1 game and then a neocd game. The "allow speed hacks" option in the "neocd options" now also allows to choose the speed boost, in case you find the acceleration is too big. Speed hacks and cheats added for metal slug 2. A fix which should hopefully work for the overlay text in opengl (like the fps counter) when using some (all ?) ati cards (but I don't have an ati card so I am not sure !). F1 now produces a cold boot which allows to return to the unibios screen in neogeo games. And passing a cue file on the command line is now supported to load a neocd game. Also the cheat codes were not read correctly in latest version, it's fixed. That's most of the fixes inside !

Cet émulateur Atari ST a été mis à jour, mais pour l'instant uniquement dans sa version Windows. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Reset button inverted: left click for reset, right click for switch off
- On Screen Display: 'Steem SSE' in former plasma, no version number, which is in the window title. In fact 'SSE' fits in the space reserved for two digits version number ('3.2'). Nice-looking, original work by Steem authors.
- Option 'Interpolated scanlines' moved to SSE option page
- Option 'Slow disk' duplicated in SSE page
- File associations:
*Can now create and remove association in options.
*Now uses registry part HKEY_CURRENT_USER, not HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT so you don't need to run as administrator.
*Simplistic: when you associate, Steem takes the extension for itself, disregarding other programss. When you remove the association, Steem deletes the extension from the registry.
*No auto-association at startup, including .PRG,.TOS,.APP,.GTP,.TTP.
*No association with .STC (cartridge) possible, by design.
*Removing previous Steem associations is up to you. You must reassociate with subsequent versions. It's because the name of the executable changes.
*Those changes also reduce the executable file size by 4KB.

Deux nouvelles versions de cet émulateur PC-Engine ont été publiées consécutivement. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:

- The bug of "speed and timing processing" (generated by v2.73) was fixed.

- When a game is started, the phenomenon of the screen's shining in white (with real machine, this phenomenon is different according to each connected television) is reproduced.
- With a little power PC environment, at the reload of a game, the problem of consuming time was solved(reduced).
- At "Recent" menu, [HES] mark adheres to "ZIP file that compressed HES file", too.
- The speed and timing were brought close to the movement of a real machine. In the opening demo of "Farjius no Jakoutei", the problem that one frame screen has fallen into disorder was solved.
- Additionally, a detailed part has been improved and corrected.
