Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur NES a été publiée. Voici les changements apportés:
- Fix .NES loader to handle small PRG/CHR sizes If sizes are not a multiple of the minimum bank size (4KB PRG, 1KB CHR), data will be be mirrored until they are.
- Tweak timing on some unsupported CPU instructions. Fixes Blargg's 1-instr_timing test.

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Improved Audio Downsampler.
- Improved Audio generally.
- Improved performance by converting audio samples from integers into bytes.
- Audio now is output in unsigned 8 bit instead of signed 16 bit, it is correct for nes.
- Improved SlimDX DirectSound renderer, it sounds now better and stable.

Notes:
- It may sound error sometimes with some games, but it is correct. Since nes sound output is about 179 MHz and
Audio Channels might sound up to 444000 Hz, so downsampling from 444000 Hz into 44100 Hz will result a loss of resolution.
- Applying fixes like taking averages of samples proved to be wrong, so in My Nes, the downsampler now just do downsampling without any fix. This is correct but might sound error, this is normal due to the loss of resolution.
Nes when outputing audio samples and mixed together, they are range from 0 into 1 in amplitude. If we try to convert
that to 8 bit samples or signed 16 bits will result errors and corruption in sound. The correct convert is from 0-1 apm into
0-127 value or 0 - 0x7F. My Nes now output sound in 8bits with range of 0 - 127, applying a simple fix as well that makes sure no sample is 0 (DB Fix, see https://github.com/alaahadid/Docs/blob/main/Audio%20And%20DB.txt) to make the sound 100 % correct.
- Performance is improved by using 8 bit audio samples instead of 16 bit samples, also renderer now control speed correctly to make sure audio samples are played correctly in time. This affect performance and accuracy of fps.

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Fixed 'make install'.
- Added support for mapper 210 and improved support for Nes 2.0 format.
- Disabled creation of mimeinfo.cache with 'make install' (#191).
- With some DE if I don't reset the min and max size of the window with reset_min_max_size() the fullscreen is wrecked (#186).
- Improved high dpi support.
*Rewrote part of the overlay.
*Uniform font used in the overlay.
*Uniform graphics management between OpenGL and D3D9.
- Fixed the shaders "NTSC 2Phase Composite" and "Old TV" in D3D9 version (#188).
- Sometimes the mouse cursor may not be visible. Fixed.
- Entering or leaving the fullscreen could cause the window to lose focus. Fixed.

Après GameEx Arcade Edition, c'est au tour du GameEx de base de faire cavalier seul avec une nouvelle version... enfin, deux nouvelles versions: aucune information n'a été officiellement donnée, mais une version .NET 6 est apparue en téléchargement principal sur le site officiel. Cela ressemble à la version prototype GameEx Core publiée en fin d'année dernière (l'Arcade Edition a aussi sa version Core en test) qui nécessitait .NET 6 ainsi que Windows 7 64-bit ou supérieur.

Cet émulateur NES pour Windows a été mis à jour. Voici la liste des modifications:
- Added Stereo Nes mode
- Added ability to adjust pan level of audio channels for Stereo nes.
- Updated audio recorder to record stereo with stereo nes mode (if enabled)

Notes:
- Stereo nes is hack of nes that allows audio channels to outputed in stereo with pan adjusted. To enable stereo nes, go to Audio>Stereo Nes.
- Stereo must be enabled first (Audio>Stereo)
- Channels pan level can be adjusted using Audio Channel Pan Config window (Audio>Stereo Nes Settings). It is applied directly into settings, these settings are saved in renderersettings.ini file in documents folder (C:\Users\OneDrive\Documents\MyNes).

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
The 2.6.2 release is a maintenance update that adds a couple minor features and fixes a few bugs for the Qt/SDL port.

Common Core Improvements and Bug Fixes:
- Added WRAM support for OneBus mapper (mapper 256).
- Fixed VROM size calculation error from NES header.

Qt/SDL GUI Improvements and Bug Fixes:
- Added an auto hide main menu on fullscreen option.
- Added an option to disable display of video overlayed GUI messages.
- Fixed default setting for max sprites per scanline to be 8 (matching win32 port).

Qt/SDL Hex Editor Improvements and Bug Fixes:
- Fixed logic to move cursor to next line when editing hits end of line.
- Fixed inconsistent display behavior of vertical scroll bar. Viewport line offset and vertical scroll position are now always synchronized.
- Fixed draw layering of cursor row/column coloring when in ROM view.
- Added protections to prevent crash when editing addresses past the end of a ROM file.
- Improved cursor blink rate to be consistent regardless of viewport refresh rate.

Qt/SDL Sound:
- Fixed sound issue on FreeBSD 13. Force audio sample size to always be a power of 2 per SDL documentation.

Qt/SDL Build Improvements:
- Fixed a build errors when compiling against Qt6 (6.2.2).
- Removed usage of a few Qt6 deprecated function calls.

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Added ability to render (and record) audio in Stereo (2 channels)
- Added settings to switch audio channels (Stereo-Mono)
- Added Reset All Settings button in Input settings window, allows to reset all input settings into defaults.
- Updated SDL2 to the latest version 2.0.20.0
- Updated video default settings
- Changed default player 1 keyboard control mapping.
- Fixed bug when run My Nes in "Trace" mode.

Notes:
- To apply new player 1 keyboard control mapping, press Reset All Settings button in the Input settings window (Input>Player 1 Input), or please go to 'Documents>MyNes' and delete file 'controls.mnc'. This will reset all control (Input) settings as well.
Running "MyNesTrace.bat" will open My Nes in trace mode, then My Nes starts to record all internal events into a text file
then stores it in "Logs" folder. This will be useful in case there is a bug in My Nes, simply send the log file(s) into My Nes website or contact email.

 MESS et MESSUI v0.240 (64-bit)

Ces builds de MAME ne comportant les machines d'arcade ont été mis à jour vers MAME v0.240. Cependant, l'auteur nous apprend que l'avenir de MESSUI (et peut-être MAMEUI?) n'est peut-être pas assuré à moyen terme:
Please note that a new bug was noticed just as I was about to upload the new versions. If you enter rubbish via the command line, it will freeze. For example, trying to run a non-existing game might give an error-message box and then hang, or it might do nothing at all. I don't know when this started, but I assume something changed in MAME.

As you might (or might not) know, before MESS and MAME were merged, MESS was a separate project, and both MESS and MESSUI were officially supported products. In order for certain things in MESSUI to work, support was included in MESS. When all this was merged with MAME, that winui support came across too. Unfortunately, certain devs are either ignorant of apparently unused functions, or don't care, and have been busily ripping out support in the name of pointless refactoring. One such case occurred this month when the entire support of software was ripped out, involving over 200 files. I had to revert this change for our builds, which means it is no longer possible for you to compile by patching the MAME source. You must now pull to the tag.

I am unsure how much longer our builds will be able to work against current MAME in the future. I'd give it a year or two at most. Just keeping you people in the loop.

- 3DS: Add Jaxe, A5200 and WASM4 cores

- ARCHIVE: Allow loading files from archive subdirectory
- AUDIO: Remove frame limit from audio batch callback. Before, if a core used the audio batch callback, there would be a hidden cap of 1024 on the number of audio frames that could be sent. If a core exceeded this value, any excess samples were silently discarded. While this is sufficient for ‘normal’ samplerates/framerates, it means that e.g. a core using the batch callback to send 44100 Hz audio at 30 fps with would have entirely broken sound. This has been fixed by removing the audio batch frame limit.
