Ces frontends multi-systèmes ont été mis à jour. Voici la liste des changements:
- Looking to remove any possible video or input lag GameEx will now lower its process prioirty to idle after launching an emulator.
- Fixes to the sync refresh MAME display feature. I revisited all this and looked at GroovyMAME usage on an LCD. It will work with GroovyMAME but on a 5 year old mini PC I reverted to vanilla MAME in my new Chewlix build, I incestigated all this again and other than going with a Mister, your best bet in 2024 is to go for a G Sync monitor for MAME for no tearing and input lag on an flat panel.
- In MAME attract mode the bezel will try to show the logo first if available rather than marquee. Looks mich nicer.

Une nouvelle beta de cet émulateur Amiga pour Windows a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Fixed crash in some configs when hard reseting with freezer enabled. (b9 fix didn't work)
- Do not activate default/TV scaling modes in programmed modes. (Previous "default" was supposed to skip programmed mode scaling but it didn't work correctly)
- Disk emulation state changes mid scanline worked unreliably (ABC Chemii / Ego Software copy protection)
- If only UAE expansion feature that needs UAE boot ROM is "Add PC drives at startup" and configured UAE boot ROM mode required F0 ROM, UAE boot ROM was not fully enabled automatically.

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur multi-systèmes a été publiée. Elle corrige un crash dans l'émulation Neo-Geo CD:
- I found a crash in raine if using all bin files for audio like here and the audio requires some conversion because the soundcard is configured for something like 48000 Hz, and these files are for 44100 Hz, it's a stupid bug, just 1 forgotten line, but it's still a crash, it's fixed in git, if somebody else has the problem I'll make another binary.

La nouvelle version de MAME, et la dernière de 2023, est arrivée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
MAME 0.261 will be the final MAME release of 2023, and it’s a real ripper! We’re ending the year with a bang! Over a hundred pull requests were merged this month, including several from first-time contributors as well as many familiar names. Following up on the work last month, two more Casio Phase Distortion synthesisers have been added: the high-end CZ-1 keyboard and the unreleased MZ-1 module. The Yamaha MU50 XG tone generator module is also working a lot better in this release.
Two home consoles with drawing features are now working: LJN’s VideoArt from 1987 and Sega’s Advanced Pico BEENA from 2005. Although they were both positioned as intellectually stimulating consoles for children and both had drawing features, they couldn’t be more different. The VideoArt was universally derided for its poor controls and lack of entertainment value, drawing negative comparisons to the popular Etch-a-Sketch toy. On the other hand, the BEENA was a high-quality device using media combining a ROM cartridge with a picture book, and featured dual pen digitisers. Its ARM CPU is fairly demanding to emulate in MAME, so you’ll need a fast PC to run it at full speed. We’re aware that the current scans of the picture books are not perfect, but it’s still quite usable apart from some peripherals that aren’t emulated yet.
On a completely different note, some of the Taito gambling and medal games have started to come to life. The purpose of the games is to separate you from your money, and there isn’t much gameplay value, but they’re still interesting to see. Some of them feature characters from popular Taito franchises. Speaking of gambling games, a couple of Chinese-language mahjong gambling games from BMC have been dumped.
Systems with AVR8 CPUs now run up to 50% faster, including the Uzebox console, Linus Åkesson demos, and the homebrew Sega Master System paddle controller. A means of dumping the microcontrollers Jaleco used for protection in some Mega System 1 games has been discovered recently, allowing the protection simulation code to be retired for 64th St. - A Detective Story and Big Striker. Our understanding of the gate array protection used for some other Jaleco games has also improved. The internal Super A'Can now has its main CPU’s internal ROM hooked up properly, improving the accuracy of its boot process.

Une nouvelle beta de cet émulateur Amiga a été publiée. Voici la liste des changements:
- If program updated RTG (uaegfx) hardware mouse cursor colors only (not shape), mouse cursor was not updated to match new colors.
- Detect compatible files in deeper subdirectories only when dropping archive file to floppy drive, do not do it when dropping to WB. (b1)
- If executable is mounted as disk image, do not automatically enable turbo floppy mode if program does disk DMA accesses that can't be used for normal track reads. (Booting executable programs that do [weird] disk tests work normally)
- Quickstart Host Configuration was not restored correctly (off by one because new entry was added, missed one place where index should have been increased by 1)
- Fixed KS 3.2 A3000 ROM checksum.
- Added disassembler optional parameter to always show EA. Previously EAs (An),(An)+ or -(An) An content was not shown.
- Disk info ("?" in floppy and quickstart panel) font size was not adjusted to current DPI/font size setting.
- If (weird) programmed mode without programmed vblank (VARBEAMEN=1 but VARVBEN=0) had less lines than hardwired PAL or NTSC mode, vblank interrupts still triggered, even when trigger line (last PAL or NTSC line) was never reached.
- Do not special case $FFFF,$FFFE copper wait as "no need to care about copper until restarted" if really weird and wide (max 256 CCKs) programmed mode is active.
- "Restart" GUI button didn't reset current windowed/fullscreen mode flag, causing GUI to re-open in last active mode GUI position (if full-window or fullscreen) instead of default windowed mode position.
- Possible fix for crash after reset in some configurations (Kickstart ROM area was left unallocated)
- Normal WB programmed modes randomly used wrong HB/VB values when positioning the screen. (5.0)

 Pas de nouveau MAME en décembre

Alors que la v0.261 devrait sortir la semaine prochaine, la MAME Team nous prévient qu'il n'y aura pas de nouvelle version de leur émulateur en décembre et qu'elle sortira fin janvier avec un développement de deux mois.
Hi everyone! As you’re no doubt aware, the end of November is fast approaching, and we’re gearing up to get MAME 0.261 out. We’re very excited about some of the systems that have been brought up this month, which you’ll know about if you’ve been following development in our git repository.

We won’t have a MAME release at the end of December. Instead, we’ll have a two-month development cycle culminating in a release at the end of January. Enjoy the end-of-year holidays if you’re taking a break, or hang in there if you’re working all the way through. Development won’t stop, and you can always build from the very latest source code if you want a preview of what’s coming in the next release.

Cet émulateur multi-systèmes a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
New System: Arcade
- We have added support for Sega SG-1000 based arcade hardware; hopefully the first of many arcade cores within ares (well, technically second because we had the Neo Geo, but that was focused on the console variant, the AES).
- Due to the nature of arcade boards, Arcade cores use MAME format roms, and a game list rather than traditional rom files. You can set a path for arcade roms in "Settings -> Paths".
- Arcade games will be grouped under one "Arcade" system, regardless of what system the Arcade hardware may be based on.
- Please note that ares does not currently resolve parent-child relationships, so arcade rom zip files must contain every file required for that game; in MAME terminology, this is usually referred to as a "Non-Merged" set.

User Interface

A homebrew mode has been added to the settings panel; this is intended to enable features that are useful to homebrew devs but would harm performance for general gameplay. This setting is currently only used in the Nintendo 64 core; more information on this later.
- Auto save settings when closing the settings dialog.
- Add hot keys for volume control and mute
- Refactor the log system to allow more control over log output
- Restore the ability to hide cores from the menu
- Add a "Scan" button to firmware settings; this autodetects supported firmware from a configured Firmware directory
Update the "Color Bleed" option to work for all non-HD cores, rather than just the SNES
- Correct the description of Weave Deinterlacing (horizontal -> vertical)
- Improve auto-detection of CD-ROM based games, drag/drop and command line loading are now more reliable

Debugging
- Added support for debugging emulated systems via GDB, currently only the Nintendo 64 core supports this, but this will be expanded in future releases.

Atari - Atari 2600
- Improve CPU timing in relation to WSYNC
- Improve TIA timing, although still far from perfect
- Implement latching of the current playfield pixel
- Include "current cycle on this scanline" in CPU trace output to aid debugging
- Improve RESMP behaviour and implement NUSIZ for missiles
- Improve HMOVE object positioning
- Fix RIOT timer and timer interrupt bit
- Improve detection of PAL roms by looking for the (PAL) string as well as the (Europe) string in the rom filename
- Support loading .bin format roms instead of just .a26
