L'auteur de cet ensemble réunissant mupen64plus, un frontend et GLideN64 considère le netplay assez mature pour être qualifié de stable. Voici ce qu'il en retourne:
- I think the netplay code is decent enough to call "stable", it's definitely not perfect yet, but good enough for most people. The game will now show a popup if someone disconnects or the game desyncs.
- This release also includes some minor bug fixes for GLideN64

Voici finalement la nouvelle version officielle de MAME. Il ne faudra probablement pas s'attendre à une v0.222 à la fin du mois. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
Our fourth release of the year, MAME 0.221, is now ready. There are lots of interesting changes this time. We’ll start with some of the additions. There’s another load of TV games from JAKKS Pacific, Senario, Tech2Go and others. We’ve added another Panorama Screen Game & Watch title: this one features the lovable comic strip canine Snoopy. On the arcade side, we’ve got Great Bishi Bashi Champ and Anime Champ (both from Konami), Goori Goori (Unico), the prototype Galun.Pa! (Capcom CPS), a censored German version of Gun.Smoke, a Japanese location test version of DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou, and more bootlegs of Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Final Fight, Galaxian, Pang! 3 and Warriors of Fate.
In computer emulation, we’re proud to present another working UNIX workstation: the MIPS R3000 version of Sony’s NEWS family. NEWS was never widespread outside Japan, so it’s very exciting to see this running. F.Ulivi has added support for the Swedish/Finnish and German versions of the HP 86B, and added two service ROMs to the software list. ICEknight contributed a cassette software list for the Timex NTSC variants of the Sinclair home computers. There are some nice emulation improvements for the Luxor ABC family of computers, with the ABC 802 now considered working.
Other additions include discrete audio emulation for Midway’s Gun Fight, voice output for Filetto, support for configurable Toshiba Pasopia PAC2 slot devices, more vgmplay features, and lots more Capcom CPS mappers implemented according to equations from dumped PALs. This release also cleans up and simplifies ROM loading. For the most part things should work as well as or better than they did before, but MAME will no longer find loose CHD files in top-level media directories. This is intentional – it’s unwieldy with the number of supported systems.

Une nouvelle beta de cet émulatuer Amiga qu'on ne présente plus a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
Not much updates because 68000 bus/address error stack frame bug wasn't that simple to fix.
- b1 disk read dma without drives update didn't handle situation where disk write was started without any selected drives.
- 68000 bus/address error stack frame program counter field was almost always incorrect (b1). One modification was lost when gencpu was cleaned up and my CPU tester had a bug and ignored this field.. Address errors and bus errors fixed (read, write and prefetch). Amiga does not use bus errors and only some protections use address errors. You probably would expect bus/address error stacked PC point to address that was being prefetched but usually it has +2/-2 offset. It can get even more interesting if it is jump or branch instruction.
- When ejecting directory filesystem that points to plain file or archive, not all host file handles were closed properly.

CPU tester FPU trigonometric and logarithmic instructions verified. Last 16 or so bits of extended double was ignored in most tests because 6888x returns slightly different results than 68040+ FPSP and also some 6888x instructions return less precise result than FPSP does. All 6888x trigonometic and logarithmic instructions seem to work correctly enough in softfloat mode.
- FSINH and FCOSH didn't set INEX bit if result was infinity.
- FREM and FMOD didn't round using current rounding mode.
- FREM and FMOD will only return correct results with some input parameter values. FREM and FMOD is based on some other CPU behavior, most likely x87, and it isn't fully compatible with Motorola implementation. For some reason this was not updated. Will be fixed later.
- FSCALE didn't round the final result correctlyin all code paths.

Most likely no real world program was affected. Host FPU mode will also return even more different results.

Le jeu en ligne de cet émulateur Nintendo 64 a été amélioré (mais ça reste encore expérimental):
- This new beta adds settings sync between players. It also has a warning in the logs if players desync, as well as some optimizations to the TCP code and a few minor bug fixes.

Cet ensemble comportant l'émulateur mupen64plus, un frontend et un plug-in graphique supporte désormais le jeu en ligne mais de façon préliminaire. Voici les informations à ce sujet:

- Currently, there is a single server, hosted in AWS (US West region). I have started a Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/m64p please consider donating. A netplay server costs about $10-15 a month to operate. Donations will allow me to create more netplay servers in other regions.
- This release does not synchronize game settings between players. If you are using netplay, you should have all default settings in Advanced Settings and Video settings or the game may desync between players.

Cet émulateur Commodore 64 a été mis à jour. La grande nouveauté est d'utiliser désormais DirectX 11.1 ce qui nécessitera au minimum Windows 8 (le readme précise même Windows 10). Des composants supplémentaires sont à installer et vous les trouverez sur la fiche de l'émulateur. Pour les utilisateurs de Windows plus anciens, la v1.0.25.0 compatible avec DirectX 9 est toujours disponible sur le site officiel. Voici la liste des changements:

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur multi-systèmes a été publiée. Voici la liste des nouveautés:
Ok, I'll start by what took me the biggest amount of time, even if it's very specific, the unicode filenames in windows !
So to see the problem you need some non-standard characters in a folder or filename, it's easier if it's on a folder containing some neocd game. I visited the wikipedia page about "the king of fighters", and got the japanese name of the game from there : (ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ 京). So just copy and paste this at the end of the name of such a directory. Then run any previous version of raine : the directory will be impossible to find ! It might be possible to do that with just 1 character, and less exotic, but I am not sure about this, and I am sure about the japanese name !
The reason is because microsoft has some inherently broken api to access its files, if the filename contains some non-standard character for the current code page of the system (which can't be utf8 of course !), then the usual functions to access files return a filename which is absolutely unusable. So the old versions find nothing when trying to access the dir, and forget about it. I am not going to tell the whole technical solution I found, if you want to see that, go to the git page. But shortly, the file selector now uses windows native functions to get the file listing, but since it still needs a standard file name for the file operations, it uses the short filename when available, using the usual long one just for display in the file selector. This means the workaround will work only if your volume has some short filenames, but normally it's the default for any volume created in windows - I created one in linux and used it in windows, in this case it didn't have any short file name, and it took me quite a while to find out how to reactivate them for this volume !
Anyway, after this you should see something for the directory if using this version. If you really want to see the Japanese characters in the gui, you'll have to replace the Vera.ttf in raine's font directory by some font containing these characters. All the biggest fonts in your windows fonts directory should work, assuming it's not too old. msyh.ttc for example, just copy this one to fonts/Vera.ttf in raine's directory and you are done (I prefer the look of Vera, but it has no japanese chars !). (difficult to copy that using the explorer because it doesn't show filenames from the fonts directory ! Oh well, you can always use the very outdated cmd.exe for that, dir /Os to have the biggest files, then make your choice and copy !).

Except this big annoyance, the other changes :
- fixed again some cheats, this 0.91 version is mainly about that after all, there were some bugs for kof98 particularly, I found quite a few which obliged me to redo the conversion for most of them.
- added some new command line switches : -nb, -wb, -rp, see raine -h for details.
- Fixed the display when starting raine without any gui in opengl (-n switch).

So that's quite a big one, once again... I hope I won't have to deal again with these unicode characters at least, I couldn't leave it like that with some files impossible to access, but it's a mess I prefer to avoid otherwise !

Une nouvelle beta e cet émulateur NES a été publiée. Une note de publication a été donnée après la release de la précédente version, mais il n'est pas clair s'il s'agit d'un élément de la version du 05 mai ou de l'actuelle. La voici néanmoins:
- A rather curious bug in the EEPROM logic for mappers 16 and 159 was pointed out to me which resulted in save data being corrupted. This should hopefully no longer happen.
