Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- The big focus of this one is the fix around the cps2 driver for the win64 binary, but since these are some bugs which can affect all the versions even if it's less obvious for the others, everyone should update. See the forum thread for the gory details about this bug.
- Except that :
*added some rnd() function to the console to get some random number, help included, I also added some help for the basic peek/dpeek/lpeek functions.
*New GUI options : "background animation" to eventually stop the background animation for those who suffer from motion sickness, and "Autostart drivers", essentially for me, when I don't want the driver to start in the background as soon as it's loaded.
*some minor text changes "Action Replay cheats" -> "Game cheats".
- Oh yeah there is an optional update for the dlls, I removed 4 dlls from the big list by tweaking the build settings for freetype, these are not the biggest ones, but they sure were useless in windows, so it's a little better. You can keep the old version, the update doesn't bring anything except removing these 4 dlls, and I should probably rename the dlls to some other package because I am bound to have some incompatibilities with old versions, but it will be for next time... !

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur multi-systèmes a été publiée. Les dlls ont aussi été mises à jour et vous les trouverez sur la fiche de l'émulateur dans nos sections. Voici la liste des nouveautés:

Except that :
- it's mostly the big update of the translations. I couldn't contact the spanish or the italian translator, so only the french and brazilian ones are really updated, for the others it's just the minimum updates so that they continue to work. mer-curious sent more patches to change some texts in the english GUI too.
- added some console functions to handle save states from a post in the forum, we'll see if it's useful or not
- added the ability to choose a japanese font, see the thread about that in the forum for details (it's optional). For the drivers which had a japanese name, you can now see it from the About dialog, "Driver information"
- fix a weird crash in windows 64 bits only when using -nogui and a cps2 game (probably related to gcc, used a dummy statement to work around it), and fix another bug related to -nogui when you call the cheat dialog using the keyboard shortcut despite the fact that you started with -nogui !
- arkangc : finally discovered that the 1st bit of the dipswitch is used for the initial ball speed in this version, it's now handled correctly (I used the cheats to control the ball speed with it so far).
- fixed some bug in the controls related to mouse buttons, especially for the right mouse button (found out while trying to use the new trick to access the 50 last levels in "arkanoid returns", there is another topic in the forum about that).
- fixed controller mapping while translating it : the joystick index was wrong, and the window to define the mapping only appeared the 1st time you used this function !

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Une traduction française de Benjamin Siskoo de Tradu-France a notamment été ajoutée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Added support to Wayland.
- Added support for "Fullscreen in window" with Wayland (the only type of fullscreen supported for now).
- Added iNES/NES 2.0 header editor.
- Added support for "Family Basic Keyboard" and "Subor Keyboard".
*It's possible to capture and release keyboard input with the shortcut "Scrollock" and open and close a virtual keyboard with "CTRL+X".
*Implemented the "Paste" function. It's possible to paste the text by dragging it in the main window of the emulator or copying it and then press the right mouse button and selecting "Paste".
*The text will be inserted through the simulation of the pressure of the keys and it will always be possible to interrupt the insertion by pressing the ESC key. During the paste, the Fast Forwarding will be active to reduce the waiting time.
- Added support for the tape data recorder. Added a "Tape" submenu in the "NES" menu, also the same menu is present in the context menu of the main window (right click) when the Keyboard is in use. By default I use my own format for tape images but you can also save and load tape images in Virtuanes and Nestopia format.
- Added a shortcut "M" to simulate a shout in the microphone of the second controller.
- Renamed "Fast Forward" shortcut to "Toggle Fast Forward" and added a new "Fast Forward (hold button)" shortcut.
- Added a Wizard to select the operating mode (portable mode or not) the first time the emulator is run. (Info for those who already used the emulator) To run in portable mode there are 3 distinct ways:
*If the executable is in a folder containing the puNES.cfg file.
*Rename the executable by adding the suffix _p. (Examples: punes.exe -> punes_p.exe or punes64.exe -> punes64_p.exe)
*Run the emulator with the "--portable" option.
Support for XDG Base Directory Specification.
- On UNIX-Like operating systems the configuration files will be found in "$XDG_CONFIG_HOME/puNES" and the rest in "$XDG_DATA_HOME/puNES". Also under Windows the location of the working directory has changed and will now be located in "C:\Users\AppData\Local\puNES". Regarding the portable mode nothing has changed, everything will be placed in the directory containing the executable. When the emulator is started, the old directories will be automatically moved to the new location. In order to open the configuration directory easily, it's always possible to do so via the menu items "File->Open working directory" [Windows and UNIX-Like] or "File->Open config directory" [UNIX-Like].
- Added a cmake option to disable portable mode handling (useful in sandbox environments like Flatpak).
- Added French translation (thx to Benjamin Siskoo).
- Added German translation (thx to JacobDev).

Voici déjà une nouvelle beta de WinUAE avec de nouveaux correctifs. La liste des changements est évidemment courte:
- Bitplane DMA stealing sprite DMA off by one fix (b1)
- Platform specific hardware specific config entries didn't parse correctly and were ignored (b1)
- B1 sprite/blitter conflict was unreliable (not accurate side-effects in some situations, probably no one really cares as usual..)
- DSKBYTR WORDSYNC bit was previously autocleared after short delay. Now it stays on as long as DSKSYNC matches. Was very old workaround for old and wrong WORDSYNC behavior. Load DSKBYTR only when valid data is available. Real HW does not seem to load DSKBYTR when only zeros are read. (Most likely DSKBYTR is not loaded if PLL is not locked?)

Et on est déjà repartis sur une nouvelle série de beta pour cet émulateur Amiga. Celle-ci devrait être relativement courte car elle se focalise sur les corrections de bugs apparus dans la dernière version stable. Voici la liste des changements:
- Fixed possible single scan line graphics corruption if BPLCON0 was changed when horizontal sync started (Caused by last minute 4.10.0 bug fix).
- Interlace config scaling mode was saved as RTG scaling mode which could write incorrect config entry or cause a crash.
- When saving config, check index values of array type config entries, preventing possible out of bounds memory access if entry is invalid (negative or too large) for some reason, like above bug. Config entry is internally index number, index is used to select config file entry value. If invalid value is detected, message is logged and config entry write is skipped.
- Removed useless "Scanlines" option under PAL filter extra settings.
- GDI mode RTG hardware cursor was not fully disabled when emulated Amiga was reset.
- GDI cursor leaved garbage on screen if hardware sprite coordinates were negative.
- Taking screenshot, DF0: is enabled but empty and CD drive is enabled but not empty: select CD image name.
- Disabled move left/right joystick autoswitching mode (was too easy to do it accidentally without noticing what happened). Only buttons are supported now. Improved popup description text of autoswitch option.
- Vblank interrupt trigger was 2 cycles too late. (Cracked The deep hang). This was supposed to be correct but probably some test results were misunderstood. Or something.
- Copper write to DMACON that disables copper DMA: copper stopped 1 cycle too early. (Following copper instruction's first instruction word is still fetched)
- DMACON write that switches blitter DMA on or off when blitter is running was not fully cycle-accurate. Now it is. (Blitter nasty was already correct)
- Yet another sprite DMA conflict found (Thanks ross again ) and emulated. If sprite DMA is switched on exactly 3 cycles before sprite's DMA slot, DMA decision is done and sprite pointer is increased but slot is not allocated, DMA transfer does not happen and RGA bus appears in idle state (0x01FE). If some other DMA channel allocates same slot, it conflicts and usual RGA bus AND and DMA pointer OR operations happens. Bitplane or blitter seems to be only channels that can conflict in this situation. CPU also can use this cycle safely. (Why do sprites have 2 different kinds of undocumented and weird conflicts?)
- Disk DSKSYNC interrupt behavior adjusted (not done any proper tests yet to fully confirm it), INTREQ DSKSYN bit only seems to get set when internal DSKBYTR WORDEQUAL bit changes from 0 to 1 because without drives selected (internal buffer value is static) and causing DSKSYNC match: DSKBYTR WORDEQUAL is one but interrupt only happens once (for example setting DSKSYNC to non-matching value and back to matching will generate single interrupt. Only writing same matching value again won't generate new interrupt). This behavior was never accurate and some versions had different hacks. Hopefully this is more correct behavior. (Retrovision / Insane and others I don't remember)
- Some timing operations still used old 32-bit wrap around timer checks that can return bad results with new 64-bit internal cycle counter. Affected standard vsync mode.
- Clear Harddrives panel list when loading hardware-only config.
- Platform specific config entries ("win32.???") were host only. Separated to host and hardware config entries. Moved win32.rtg_vblank to hardware config (Also this shouldn't be in platform specific anymore..)
