Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur Neo-Geo CD a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
The main change is that it fixes last blade 2 which was impossible to run in 1.3.1 because of an overly optimistic change...
Except that not much, the start of the screen is adjusted for the rasters which fixes the moving clouds in neo turf masters, and makes riding hero more like the video of the original console on youtube. Most of the code for the rasters has been rewritten again, but so far it's quite disappointing.
It shouldn't be slower than the previous version though, and even if I couldn't test everything it should be ok !

On approche d'une nouvelle version stable avec cette RC1. Voici ce qu'elle propose:
- CPU Idle limit added, do not sleep if there are no frame time left, no more slowdowns if CPU Idle is set too high.
- Only use long frames to recalculate interlace autoscale positiong. (Autoscale jitter in some interlace setups)
- Autoscale didn't always ignore standard mode display limits when displaying programmed display modes.

- Formalized the Votrax SC-01 device. Implemented the full set of digital logic from the patent, including the timing circuit, transition circuit, glottal generator, and noise source. Some unknowns
still exist with regards to clocking, due to contradictory statements in the patent, but as it stands now, all parameters are fetched and processed, phonemes are requested, and in theory all that remains is
for someone with analog sound experience to simulate the filters on the output. For now, you just get the raw glottal pulse mixed with the noise signal based on the vocal and fricative amplitudes, which is

- Converted gottlieb r1 and r2 sound boards into full-on devices, using the recently-added mixer interface. La série fleuve des versions beta de WinUAE continue. Voici le contenu de la dernière:
- Direct3D masks and scanlines fixed, forgotten testing code.. (b20)
- 2.3.2 "stop the cpu and wait until blitter has finished if any blitter register is accessed while blitter is busy and cpu mode is fastest possible" was broken and could cause side-effects in some situations.
- Direct3D to DirectDraw fallback if DirectX is not recent enough crashed. (b5)
- Keyboard lost sync state emulated, needed with some programs that don't handshake all buffered key codes but still clear the CIA keyboard interrupt flag, this caused dead keyboard after b1 update. Now keyboard should be fully emulated.
- Quickstart panel disk insert always reset track position to zero. (forgot to restore old track after checking disk type and bootable state, bug since Quickstart was introduced!) Fixes Wrath of Demon disk swaps.
- Z2 RTG changes broke chip RAM "memory barrier" causing crash if JIT executed code at the very end of chip RAM. (b16)

Cet émulateur NES pour WIndows a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Some graphics/sound code has been reorganized somewhat in order to avoid needlessly reloading parts of DirectX. In the process, I fixed a bug that caused 64-bit builds (MSVC 2010 only) to crash upon changing video modes.

Cet émulateur multi-plateformes a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Added 'Arabian', 'DigDug', 'Donkey Kong Junior', 'Donkey Kong 3' and 'Pirate Ship Higemaru'.
- Added NES driver to Lazarus, so all system are both in Delphi and Lazarus.
- Added sound to NES, many fixes and changes in many drivers.

Une étape très importante a été franchie avec cette nouvelle version: l'émulateur est désormais parfaitement compatible avec la totalité des jeux commerciaux de la Super Nintendo (et sans bug connu), l'émulation du dernier co-processeur qui manquait à son tableau de chasse étant maintenant maîtrisé. Pour ce dernier, le ST-018 une ROM spéciale récemment dumpée sera nécessaire pour son fonctionnement. Vous trouverez toutes les ROMs de co-processeurs nécessaires à bsnes dans la fiche de l'émulateur. Par ailleurs, pour les utilisateurs des versions antérieures, sachez que toutes ces ROMs ont été modifiées: vous trouverez les versions mises à jour sur la fiche de l'émulateur. Voici les notes de l'auteur:
This release adds ST018 emulation. As this was the final unsupported SNES coprocessor, this means that bsnes v087 is the first SNES emulator to be able to claim 100% known compatibility with all officially released games. And it does this with absolutely no hacks.
Again, I really have to stress the word known. No emulator is perfect. No emulator ever really can be perfect for a system of this complexity. The concept doesn't even really exist, since every SNES behaves subtly different. What I mean by this, is that every single game ever officially sold has been tested, and zero bugs (of any severity level) are currently known.
It is of course extremely likely that bugs will be found in this release, as well as in future releases. But this will always be a problem for every emulator ever made: there is no way to test every possible codepath of every single game to guarantee perfection. I will, of course, continue to do my best to fix newfound bugs so long as I'm around.
I'd really like to thank Cydrak and LostTemplar for their assistance in emulating the ST018. I could not have done it without their help.
The ST018 ROM, like the other coprocessor ROMs, is copyrighted. This means I am unable to distribute the image.
