La première version de la série de beta de WinUAE a été traduite en français. L’auteur de WinUAE étant survolté, cette version est déjà obsolète, mais nul doute que l'équipe de Tradu-France va le rattraper très vite.

Déjà une nouvelle beta pour WinUAE, ça va vite! Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- If D3D11 fullscreen refresh rate is default: prefer highest supported refresh rate.
- Use pre-scaled values when calculating aspect ratio in integer scale modes. Note that integer scale value selection uses original values, not aspect ratio scaled values. (Fixing this is more complex)
- Few Application Verifier detected bugs fixed. One could have caused random crash at startup or when saving config.
- Fixed random crash when at least one Input panel custom event string was set, Restart was clicked and then emulation was started again.

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur Atari 2600 a été publiée. Voici la liste des nouveautés:
- Added "Time Machine" mode, which automatically creates save states in user-defined intervals. The user can navigate back and forth within these states inside the emulator and the debugger.
- Huge improvements to the disassembly view in the debugger and disassembly files created:
*reformatting in debugger for better space utilization
*much improved code and data detection
*access tracking and indicators for TIA/IO/RAM adresses in disassembly
*break vector is tracked (if used)
*improved cycle count (page penalties, sums created in disassembly)
*improved handling of instruction masking opcodes (e.g. BIT)
- Fixed change tracking bug during rewind; changes were accumulated instead of being displayed only for the last rewind step.
- Extended 'rewind' to take a second parameter which allows rewinding multiple states.
- Added 'unwind' command, which undoes the latest rewind(s).
- Added '<' (unwind) button to debugger.
- Thumbulator support is not conditional any more.
- Moved various developer related settings in new Developer Settings dialog. These settings now come in two groups (player/developer) and allow switching all settings at once.
- Don't trap write accesses to the datastream pointers in CDF and BUS. This fixes -dev.thumb.trapfatal 1.
- Complete rework of TV mode and ystart autodetection. The new implementation is more robust and reduces startup time.
- Add two "grace lines" of black to the top of the frame when autodetecting ystart.
- Fixed Genesis controller autodetect (Stay Frosty 2, Scramble, etc).
- Fixed a bug in ystart autodetection that could cause screen jumps.
- Fixed several bugs in holdselect, holdreset and holdjoyX commandline arguments; these now work as expected.
- Fixed bug in TIA collision handling; it is now disabled in VBlank.
- Improve TIA PF collision handling during hblank; this fixes a bug in Thrust ROM.
- Fixed wrong display of HM values in debugger after 'HMCLR' has been executed.
- Fixed bug with the debugger 'savedis' command in Windows; it wasn't actually saving the files at all. This has never been reported before, so I guess it shows how many people use that functionality.
- The debugger 'savedis', 'saverom' and 'saveses' now save files in a default, user-visible directory (see the documentation for more information). In the case of 'saveses', the filename is now named based on the date and time of when the command was entered.
- Fixed bug with saving snapshots in 1x mode; there was graphical corruption in some cases. Such snapshots also now include any TV effects / phosphor blending currently in use.
- Fixed regular-sized snapshots when phosphor effect was enabled; sometimes the image was 'double-blended', resulting in a snapshot that was too dark.
- Fixed crash when selecting 'CompuMate' as a controller type for a non- CompuMate ROM; this controller type can no longer be manually selected, and will be used automatically used for CompuMate ROMs.
- Fixed cheat codes, so 7 digits codes are now accepted as described in the doc.
- Fixed swapped ports being displayed wrong in System Logs and debugger.
- Added options to erase the AtariVox/Savekey flash memory, either for all ROMs or only the current one. Also added a message (configurable) when the flash memory is accessed.
- Access to the AtariVox/SaveKey can be signaled with a message.
- Added new interface palette 'Light'.
- Frame stats display made transparent. Also it now displays the real frame rate and if the developer settings group is enabled.
- Improved tab auto-complete in debugger.
- Added conditional traps and savestate creation to debugger.
- Added 'Options...' button to debugger which gives access to the options menu during debugging.
- Added debugger pseudo-register '_cyclesLo' and '_cyclesHi', which give the number of CPU cycles that have occurred since emulation started.
- Added debugger pseudo-register '_fcycles', which gives the number of CPU cycles that have occurred since the frame started.
- Added debugger pseudo-register '_icycles', which gives the number of CPU cycles of the last instruction.
- Extended debugger 'dump' command to take a second argument, indicating the end of the range to dump data.
Improved change tracking; more values are tracked and change tracking now works in case of a break too.
- Added widgets for trackball and SaveKey/AtariVox controllers.
- Improved emulation of 'FE' bankswitch scheme (no user-visible changes, but internally the emulation is much more accurate compared to the real thing). Related to this, improved the debugger support for this scheme (you can now switch banks in the debugger view).
- Added emulation of 7800 initial RAM values and Pause key.
- Added ROM properties for 'Scramble' ROMs, and updated info for all "Champ Games" ROMs.
- Added ROM properties for 'Zippy the Porcupine' ROMs, and updated info for all "Chris Spry (Sprybug)" ROMs.
- Support UNIX style builds (configure / make) on OSX with both XCode / clang and g++.
- Fixed error when building with uClibc-ng for ARM (thanks to Sergio Prado).
- Updated included PNG library to latest stable version.

Pas de repos pour les braves, c'est reparti pour une nouvelle série de beta pour WinUAE qui se portera principalement sur les corrections de bugs. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Added Elsat Mega Ram HD controller emulation.
- A.L.F.3 HD controller emulation
- Rewritten expansion hardware interrupt handling to make it more compatible with PPC emulation.
- Implemented experimental RTG mode background thread for Amiga side VRAM to host texture color space conversion/copy. Option in RTG Board panel.
- Fixed crash at startup if DXGI 1.4 was highest available version (Windows 10 build 10240 only)
- KS 1.2 boot hack caused a crash in some manually configured UAE boot rom configurations without at least one directory filesystem/harddrive.
- OCS/ECS only BPLCON2 with "illegal" PF1 or PF2 value is now accurately emulated in dual playfield mode. (If BPLCON2 PFx>=5 and matching playfield is not transparent: playfield is drawn using COLOR0 with playfield priorities still working normally)
- D3D11: switching off on screen leds on the fly left static led texture on screen.
- Floppy sound type selection was not loaded correctly from config file (3.6)
- Floppy sound empty drive volume level was used if disk was inserted before emulation was started. (old)
- HDF filesystem loader now skips HUNK_DEBUG and HUNK_SYMBOL hunks instead of aborting filesystem initialization.
- Direct3D11 fullscreen, enter GUI, press save screenshot button: nothing happened.
- Direct3D11 window mouse drag resize now refreshes the display only after resizing ends.
- Do not allow UAE RTG init to succeed if it is enabled but not autoconfigured. (Few versions ago introduced new autoconfig handling broke previous "is this configured test?")
- Some 68000 instructions didn't use correct reversed memory access order in long -(An) addressing mode. (MOVE EA,-(an), MOVEM, ADDX, SUBX)
- Reading real 68EC040 MMU enable/page size TC register always returns zero, emulation now does the same. (Real 68EC060 not yet tested)
- 68040 SRP and URP registers are full 32-bit, 68060 masks out low 9 bits (which are ignored anyway when calculating descriptor table addresses)
- NCR5394 emulation improved (A.L.F.3 compatibility), support use of "Transfer information" command to manually read status and message bytes instead of "Initiator command complete sequence" that was designed for this purpose and all previously emulated 5394 based controllers have used.
- NCR5394 emulation didn't handle situation where data was written to FIFO before true DMA write was started. FIFO contents should be written before DMA transfer starts. (Blizzard SCSI Kit IV in some situations, possibly others)
- Added "Identity" checkbox to Add harddrive panel. If ticked, real ATA identity data is used in emulated ATA device instead of generic UAE generated and drive appears exactly as it does in real hardware (identical name, geometry etc). If checkbox is disabled: used HD controller/adapter does not support reading ATA Identity or drive is not ATA or ATAPI.
- Read Identity now also shows CHS geometry, LBA and LBA48 (if supported), parsed from identity data (if available)
- kickstart_ext_rom and cart config entries support Arcadia and ALG ROM images.
- joyport2 -config entry incorrectly used port 3 slot.

Elsat Mega Ram HD:
- Basic PIO IDE controller.
- elsat.device "ElsatHD 1.0 (09 Oct 1992)"

A.L.F.3:
- SCSI, NCR5394 based.
- Fake DMA, MOVEMs used in transfer loop.
- No official ROM dump available, tested using loadable driver ROM hack.

Cet émulateur GameBoy/GameBoy Color originellement prévu pour MacOS a été mis à jour. Le port Windows a également été ajouté à notre site car si quelques fonctions sont manquantes par rapport à la version MacOS, il possède maintenant un menu accessible pour effectuer les réglages de base pour jouer normalement. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
New/Improved Features
- The libretro port can now be compiled for the Switch
- Made the menu key more obvious in the SDL port
- Can now emulate a Game Boy Advance in Game Boy Color mode
- Changing a model in the SDL port is now done via the menu
- Major improvements to the way the libretro port handles audio, significantly improving audio quality
- It is now possible to select a specific model to emulate in the libretro port

Accuracy Improvements/Fixes
- APU stereo volume levels are now scaled emulated correctly (Volume levels are 1-8, not 0-7)
- Triggering a pulse by writing to NRx4 now correctly changes the volume level of the previously played pulse. Fixes sound pops in Link’s Awekening.
- The CGB boot now finishes with correct register values
- Fixed APU DIV events sometimes causing audio pops in disabled channels. Fixes sound pops in Super Mario Land 2
- Fixed a bug where the effects of NR50 and NR51 were unintentionally delayed. Fixes sound pops in Pokémon Puzzle Challenge and Donkey Kong ‘94.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed video issues with the libretro port when using Vulkan
- Using a Joypad in the Cocoa port did not prevent the screen saver from starting

Il fait moche, on a les pieds dans l'eau (certains les ont malheureusement pour eux plus que de raison), mais un petit passage sur notre média favori agit toujours comme un rayon de soleil.

Sans plus attendre, regardons les résultats du précédent sondage:



C'est le règne sans partage pour les RPGs et l'aventure pour les jeux qui ont construits notre personnalité de joueur. Un choix peu étonnant néanmoins.


Le 19 novembre 2006, Nintendo lança sur la Chaine Boutique de la Wii une fonction qui allait devenir une nouvelle manne financière pour les éditeurs de jeux vidéo: la console virtuelle permettant d'avoir une offre légale pour rejouer facilement à d'anciennes gloires. Tout le monde depuis s'y est mis et sur toutes les machines du marché.
Ces consoles virtuelles ne sont ni plus ni moins que des émulateurs, un sujet que nous connaissons bien ici. Et vous, aimez-vous prendre des jeux sur les services en ligne des constructeurs habituels? Appréciez-vous le confort (payant) d'un jeu où tout est déjà bien configuré et éventuellement transportable partout si c'est sur console portable ou préférez-vous rester dans le monde des émulateurs classiques à peu de frais?



Deux exemples de jeux rétro célèbres sur le Nintendo eShop de la Nintendo 3DS.

Looks like I was in such a hurry that it contains a few mistakes. Will be fixed in the next release planned for end of February. Sorry about that. There was a non-working game left in (I normally disable non-workers), and 2 new games that didn't get enabled.
Also it's version 0.193 not 0.194 because the last 2 weeks contained lots of changes that would cause a great deal of breakage, so I elected to leave that stuff out until a more suitable time. For those fools who want to compile, there's a tag in the repository.

La MAME Team nous livre avec la régularité d'une horloge suisse sa nouvelle version tous les derniers mercredi du mois. Voici les nouveautés de celle ci:
Today we’re proud to deliver MAME 0.194, the first MAME release of 2018. Following on from the optimisation in last month’s release, MAME now features a Hyperstone E1-XS recompiler, giving substantial performance improvements in a number of Korean games. Several issues affecting cheats, lua scripting, the internal debugger, and disassembly have been resolved. We’ve added support for the prototype Atari game Cyberstorm, and Gaelco’s Last KM which was designed to integrate with an exercise bike. This release expands and improves support for TV games with fixed software. Additions include the TV Boy II, Super TV Boy, and Radica Space Invaders. Emulation has been substantially improved for games using NES-derived hardware from V.R. Technologies.
The flow of LCD handheld games shows no sign of abating This month we’ve added Thief in Garden, Super Double Dragon, Vindicators, Skeleton Warriors, and The Incredible Crash Test Dummies. There are plenty more improvements to FM Towns emulation in this release, allowing more games to boot and fixing graphical errors. The Matsushita MyBrain 3000 and closely- related Ericsson Step/One have been promoted to working. Acorn Electron peripherals have been overhauled and several new options are available.
In arcade emulation, we’ve got improved graphics emulation for Nintendo’s Popeye, and support for two more bootleg versions. There are also improvements to graphical effects in several Data East games, and improvements to IGS PGM2 emulation making Knights of Valour 3 playable. Plenty more alternate versions of supported arcade games have been added. One does deserve a mention, and that’s Bioplaything Cop, a prototype of Gaelco’s Biomechanical Toy.

Cet émulateur Commodore 64 a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
1) CIA ICR interrupt regression fix that was broken in v1.0.9.6 that prevented the game International Karate from working.
2) Fixed audio clock sync that was causing slow downs in windowed mode VBL sync.
