Après quelques semaines de silence après la dernière version stable, WinUAE revient en force avec une nouvelle beta et ses notes de version chargées:
- Bypass indirect memory access function calls (xget()/xput()) and access the memory directly if memory is normal RAM without side-effects (Real fast RAM). Should improve performance slightly in fastest possible non-jit or jit indirect modes.
- GUI listviews column order is now adjustable. Column order and width is stored in registry/ini. Adjustments are reset to defaults if number of columns changes in the future, manual reset to default button in Misc panel.
- Reject all Alt+ windows system menu key shortcuts because invalid shortcuts may generate annoying beep sounds in magic mouse mode.
- Manual configured RAM address text box didn't support addresses larger than $7fffffff.
- Map >256k extended ROM images to $f00000 (not $e00000) if it begins with $1111 identifier.
- KS ROM selection now support hunk and m68k elf executables. Automatically relocated at startup and symbols, if embedded with executable, are loaded to debugger. Image must be rommable but can have multiple sections. Checksum, size field and interrupt vector offsets are automatically appended if final relocated ROM image is smaller than 512k. If final image is larger than 512k, it gets mapped at $a80000-$b7ffff and $f80000 only contains header and vector offsets. This was mainly implemented to make aros m68k ROM debugging less annoying but it probably can be useful for any custom rom development. Source level debugging may be implemented later, DWARF debugging information documentation is not very useful for implementing parser..
- Added keyboard_handshake= config file entry. If handshake time period (in CCKs, not milliseconds) was less than v, message gets logged.
- Added memwatch point PC parameter, only detect hit if PC equals start of address of instruction that generated the memory access. For trainer internal use.
- Added log (L) only memory watch breakpoint mode, log only hits, don't break to debugger.
- Accelerator board CPU fallback (to mainboard CPU mode) was broken.
- "Add PC drives at startup" enabled and same drive root directory also mounted manually: drive was mounted twice (4.1.0 bug, earlier versions skipped duplicates)
- Added uaegfx Picasso96 overlay/PIP support.
- Added Cirrus Logic SVGA chip overlay/PIP hardware emulation (Picasso IV)
- AVI recording with non-standard refresh rate was reset to default if GUI was entered and exited during recording. Affected recorded audio pitch and sync.
- bsdsocket.library emulation SBTC_RELEASESTRPTR ("release string" = name + version string) was not implemented.
- Fixed sprite x-position before DMA slot(s) (left overscan) emulation bug that caused some partially hidden sprites to completely disappear depending on order of x-coordinates. (3.5)
- 68030 MMU and instruction ending to memory write that causes bus error: bus error exception stacked PC points to following instruction.
- 68020+ prefetch mode debugger H history command returned wrong instruction addresses.
- uae-configuration returned return code 10 even when matching config entry was found.
- Debugger disassembler didn't show scale factor if effective address mode was brief extension format. (broke when 68020+ addressing modes were fixed)
- Added custom ROM selection, 4 slots with manually configurable start and end addresses. Start and end are restricted to 64k boundaries.

- Added Pacific Peripherals Overdrive SCSI controller emulation and 2 ROM versions.
- Added Harms 3000 Professional 68030 accelerator board which is almost identical to A26x0 but ROM remapping seems to be slightly different.
- Added IVS Trumpcard (non-pro) emulation.
- Added IVS Trumpcard 500AT emulation.
- Trumpcard driver disk devs/*.driver files contain embedded raw boot rom image. If added as Trumpcard/Pro/500AT ROM image file, it will be automatically loaded as ROM image.
- Added ICD Trifecta emulation.

Overlay/PIP support:
- All Picasso96 RGB and YUV formats supported. (CL hardware supported modes: RGB565, RGB555, YUV422, YUV411. Few weird non-Picasso96 compatible modes are not implemented.)
- Color keying supported (CL hardware limit: 24-bit mode does not support color keying)
- Cirrus Logic hardware supported color key masking (8-bit color key and 8-bit mask, only available in 8-bit modes) is not implemented.
- Cirrus Logic hardware supported chroma key not implemented (Mainly designed for video capturing).
- Scaling supported, uses basic linear scaling.
- Pure software rendering, don't try to open too large video windows.

Pacific Peripherals Overdrive:
- Possibly first ever A2000 HD controller.
- 5380 based SCSI controller.
- 68440 DMA controller, CPU polls DMA complete register. (SupraDrive 2000 DMA which uses same DMA controller also CPU polls)
- RDB compatible, mostly, for some reason it assumes partition device names are C-strings, not BSTRs which makes device names look quite interesting in AmigaOS. v2.0 supports custom filesystems.
- Both known ROM versions have "SCSI 1.3 (14 Aug 1988)" version string but overdrive.device versions are 1.5 and 2.0.

IVS Trumpcard:
- 5380 based SCSI controller, byte wide fake DMA.
- Functionally same as Trumpcard Pro except Pro-only long/word wide fake DMA data ports and SCSI ID/status register are not implemented.

IVS Trumpcard 500AT:
- Usual basic PIO IDE controller.

ICD Trifecta:
- SCSI and IDE controller (LX), IDE only (EC). Don't select EC, at least 4.2 install disk driver seems to assume SCSI chip is always installed.
- SCSI is DMA capable, FAS216 SCSI controller, Xilinx FPGA based DMA controller.
- IDE is PIO only, uses large MOVEM copy loop.
- Boot ROM is still MIA, tested only with install disk driver.

Une nouvelle version de ce frontend pour Mednafen a été publiée. Voici la liste des nouveautés:

Cet émulateur mulit-systèmes a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Changed the default sound device for the OpenBSD sound driver from "/dev/audio" to "/dev/audio0".
- Semaphores are now implemented with condition variables and mutexes when compiling against a POSIX threads implementation without sem_timedwait().
- PC-FX: Replaced old RAINBOW IDCT code with newly-written code.
- Some hotkeys in the debugger's memory editor weren't being ignored properly when in text entry mode; fixed. (Regression introduced in 1.21.0-UNSTABLE)
- Apple2: Corrected minimum allowed value for the "" setting(was -2 when it should have been -3).
- SS: Corrected line-scroll handling in double-density interlaced mode with non-zero LSS; fixes broken background graphics effect in Dural's stage in "Virtua Fighter 2".
- SS: Added "Linkle Liver Story" to the internal database of games to use the data cache read bypass kludge with, to fix a crash/hang when going to the world map.

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Added support for the UNIF mapper UNIF DREAMTECH01.
- Fixed mapper MMC5 and 213.
- Added support for NSFe format.
- Added OpenBSD support.
- Added support for IPS, BPS and XDELTA patches.
It's possible to patch the ROM through 3 ways:
1) rename the patch with the same name as the ROM and copy it to the same directory where the ROM is present (example: if "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].nes" is the name of the ROM, rename the patch in "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].ips")
2) drag it to the emulator window (compressed patches are supported)
3) apply it via the "Apply Patch" item in the File menu (compressed patches are supported)
If more than one patch is present in the compressed file, it will always be possible to select which one to apply. In order to automatically apply a patch to a ROM, in addition to method 1) it is also possible to create a compressed archive that contains both the ROM and the patch. In this case the name of the ips file isn't important (example : compressed file contain "Adventures of Lolo (U) [!].nes" and "adv.ips").
- Rewritten the UI for the settings.
- Added the compatibility of the UI for High DPI.
- Rewritten and uniformed GFX stack.
- Increased performance by 20%/30%.
- Dropped out dependencies from SDL and QT4 libraries.
- Now it's necessary that QT5 have compiled with support for SVG (and OpenGL for OpenGL version).
- Fixed the management of VSync (when you change this option you need to restart the emulator to apply it correctly).
- Added the ability to change shader parameters if supported by the shader.
- Added a palette editor.
- Added in Video Settings an option to show FPS.
- Eliminated a lot of unnecessary code.
- Fixed many many bugs and increased the accuracy of emulation.

Les réjouissances de fin d'année ont pris fin, le Père Noël s'est écroulé dans son lit pour un repos bien mérité et le quotidien a repris ses droits. Bonne année, les résolutions, tout ça...

Mais pour l'instant, intéressons nous à ce que vous avez déballé le matin de Noël:

Carton plein chez Nintendo avec sa SNES Mini en tête. Les consoles rétro ou les rééditions sont très bien placées... logique pour le public d'un site d'émulation de jeu rétro me direz vous. Vous n'êtes cependant pas contre le progrès avec une Switch qui est deuxième et une PlayStation 4 qui ne démérite pas. En queue de classement, la Xbox One et la Neo-Geo Mini semblent avoir du mal à trouver preneurs chez nos visiteurs.

Pour le nouveau sondage, nous souhaitons connaître vos habitudes de fréquentation de notre site. Habitué pur et dur, ou visiteur de passage? C'est à vous de nous le dire!

Cet émulateur NES a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
It is recommended to delete the setting files in My Nes folder in the user Documents folder for better experince.
To do so, please go to 'C:\Users\\Documents\MyNes' then delete: 'controls.mnc', 'emusettings.ini', 'renderersettings.ini' and 'winsettings.ini'.
This version is compatible with game states that made on the previous version.
Sorry for the latest versions of My Nes, it was quit a mess, i was focusing on the core and totaly forgot about experience.
Consider this version as my apology, I tried my best to fix all the issues related to user interface and game play experience.
I tested this version on both my Computer (mid range pc) and on my potato laptop (some laptop from 2009 lol), i ran My Nes for hours, carefully configured palette, sound, video, menus and even emulation speed to bring the best experience and quality possible.
I know My Nes is the not the best Emu out there, but the way i see it after this version, it is really cool to play retro with My Nes now !! just relax, plug xbox 360 controller if you have one, run My Nes and Enjoy !! :D

- Added: load state open menu item, allows to quickly load a rom then load a state from selected state slot directly.
- Added: load state on recent open menu item, same as above, but this work on games open from recent menu.
- Added: Start game in fullscreen menu option, allows My Nes to switch My Nes into fullscreen mode each time a game is loaded.
- Added: SDL2 settings in video menu, allows to configure further options of SDL2 Video Renderer.
- Added: Shutdown emu/exit My Nes on Escape press menu option on preferences, this options allow My Nes to exit fullscreen, shutdown emu or exit My Nes with Escape press.
- Added: Interface languages switch in Preferences, currently only English and Arabic languages is supported. Sorry i cannot add more languages, i don't want to use translater services to add more languages ... i need help in this end :)
- Added: Ability to show supported boards list from Help menu.
- Added: Context menu that appears when right-mouse click anywhere in My Nes window (work on fullscreen too). This allow to access usefull menu items quickly during game play.
- Added: Auto mouse cursor hide.
- Improved: the default palette settings, carefully configured to produce a very good image quality.
- Improved: Sound is carefully configured to produce the highest sound quality possible with My Nes.
- Improved: if a x controller is connected, and start My Nes for the first time, My Nes will configure and switches automatically to that controller. (In other words, plug in your x controller and start playing !!)
- Improved: Getting started dialog, now it support more options and more detailed.
- Improved: Speed control in emulation, now My Nes run smoothly.
- Fixed: bug in SlimDX video renderer, keep aspect ratio was not working.
- Fixed: bug in SlimDX audio renderer, sound became corrupted most of the time.
- Fixed: fullscreen was not working probably (My Nes used to go Maximized window instead of normall fullscreen).
- Fixed: issues with notifications positions on the screen.
- Fixed: when to many notifications came at once, the video renderer was displaying the latest one only. Now it display them all one by one.
- Removed: The GameDB related features.

Cet émulateur Commodore 64 pour MacOS a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- All emulator preferences dialogs have been merged into a unified preferences panel.
- New options in the emulator settings allow the user to customize the actions taken when opening a media file.
- The input device selection is now retained in the user default storage.
- JiffyDOS Rom images have been added to the list of known images.

CRT Monitor emulation
- Dot mask emulation has been modified to not darken the screen any more.
- It is now possible to set the bloom radius individually for each color channel.
- Cathode rays can be shifted relative to each other.

- Added support for the Expert cartridge.
- Cardridge buttons are now displayed in the bottom bar as small (clickable) icons.

- Now users can choose whether to save the emulator texture (low res) or the upscaled texture (hi res).
- If menu item "Save Snapshot..." is selected, emulation is paused until the screenshot has been saved.

- Upgraded ReSID to the version used in VICE V3.3.
- While the emulator is running, the sampling rate is adjusted automatically to reduce buffer underflows and overflows.
- Fixed a bug that made FastSID unusable on audio hardware with a sample rate other than 44.1khz.

Joystick emulation
- The assignment of keystrokes to joystick events has been improved when multiple keys are pressed at the same time.

Et oui, encore Nintendulator! La beta a été mise à jour. Pas de raison précise donnée, mais il est possible que le bug de dernière minute introduit dans la version stable l'ait également touchée et que cette nouvelle release le corrige.

Les liens étant réparés, je peux maintenant vous présenter cet émulateur en version stable, ce qui n'était pas arrivé depuis des années. La version ANSI pour Windows 9x ne sera plus mise à jour et la version Unicode sera aussi la dernière à avoir Windows 2000 en compatibilité; ces OS étant particulièrement anciens, ça ne devrait pas gêner beaucoup d'utilisateurs néanmoins. Un bug de dernière minute a été corrigé (c'est peut-être pour cela que les fichiers étaient indisponibles hier) et voici la liste des améliorations depuis la précédente version stable:
As is bound to happen when I decide to make an unplanned release (in response to the last release having been nine years ago), I managed to introduce a rather unfortunate bug in a last-minute change - all savestates made with the Arkanoid paddle connected to the Famicom Expansion Port would be corrupted. The release has been updated to incorporate a fix for this.

*Added a configuration setting for Playchoice-10 palettes to control whether or not extra gray colors should be added at 1D/2D/3D.
*Fixed color emphasis to swap the Red/Green bits on PAL and Dendy.

*Moved header editor into its own source file.

Une nouvelle version de ce gestionnaire de ROMs a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- FIXED problems getting information from CHDs in paths with "%" chars.
- FIXED rebuilding files in profiles with CHDs and no ROMs.
- IMPROVED recovering last focus when closing forms to go back.
- NO MORE flickering when batch run for rebuild or scan. More speed added because is not necessary to close and reopen window for every profile.
- REWRITED saving cache by some problems. Now old cache files won't work you must rescan again to save new cache files.
- REMOVED Trurip dat group for Updater. Trurip is dead ?
- UPDATED CHDMAN binaries to 0.205 version.
