Ca faisait un moment que nous n'avions pas eu de nouvelles de ce très bon émulateur PC Engine. Les améliorations de cette version sont les suivantes:
- Added "Show Audio Channel Graph" to "Info" menu. During game play Sound
Volume Graph of each channel (6 channels + ADPCM + CDDA) can be displayed.
+ Green graph ... Wave Memory sound
Pink graph ... Noise sound
Yellow graph ... DDA Sampling sound
Orange graph ... LFO Modulation sound
White (2nd right) ... ADPCM (CD Game only)
Purple (1st right) ... CD-DA (CD Game only)
*A channel whose graphs are "divided into left and right halves" is a channel that is playing with Stereo Sound.
*You can also switch the display position and hide it by pressing [9] and [0] (numeric keypad is disabled) on the keyboard.
- Fixed the processing timing of the built-in sound source (wave memory sound source). In "Xevious", an issue that sometimes caused the number of sounds to be low (occurred from recent versions) has been resolved. Also, I think that the tone has approached that of a real machine.
- Added "Size x5" to the "Screen" menu. * The enlargement process is heavy on older PC. In that case, please use full screen mode without overdoing it. By the way, when the distance to the display is short, "Size x3" size is more beautiful and still fits in the field of view, so it is recommended to play comfortably. "Size x5" is useful for small displays such as small 4K displays and when you want to play a little away from the display.
- Added "TV Scanlined 2 (Blur, Fast)" and "Non-Scanlined TV 2 (Blur for x4x5)" to the "Screen-> Mode" menu. If you are using a large window size or full screen, you can play on a large blurred screen if you use these at full HD or higher resolution. I think that this large blur is effective when playing on large LCD TV.
- Fixed an issue that the aspect ratio of the game screen display was slightly incorrect.
- The speed and timing were brought closer to a real machine. In "Quiz Tonosama no Yabou", resolved an issue (occurred from v2.51) that caused the screen to shake at the start of the quiz questions. In "Star Parodia", resolved an issue where the display of the rainbow scene before the first boss was a bit confusing (occurred from recent versions).
- When using in a multi-display environment, coordinate correction processing is no longer performed even when the Ootake's window protrudes from the screen.
- With some PC environments, in full screen mode, fixed an issue that caused V-Sync to not synchronize well and left tearing at the top of the screen. If this doesn't work, try unchecking the "Screen -> V-Sync -> V-Sync Timing Adjust" menu.
- Organized the contents of "Audio" menu and "Setting->Audio" menu. The audio buffer amount is indicated in frame time units.
- Removed "Direct Draw" setting in "Setting->Screen" menu. From this version, only Direct3D drawing is supported.
- The Aero function is automatically turned off (display delay is reduced) when used with Windows7. In addition, the "Screen->Disable Aero" menu deleted in v2.88 has been restored.
- Fixed a bug that the tempo of the sound may not be stable for about the first second immediately after opening the game ROM image file with some PC environments.
- Fixed a bug that the game name was not displayed correctly when "&" was entered in the game name at the "Recent" menu.
- Other minor details have been modified and improved.

Ces frontends multi-systèmes ont été mis à jour et, ô miracle, sont accompagnés d'un changelog:
- The project has moved to .net framework 4 and SharpDX. All operating systems and features are still supported.
- Image loading optimizations and speed improvements.
- GameEx Arcade flash games now load in a desktop app rather than browser, giving a nice experience now.
- Fixes MAME snap aspect ratio.

Une nouvelle version beta de cet émulateur Amiga pour Windows a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Don't map invalid Blizzard 2060 maprom space and crash if board has no RAM installed.
- Added support for new cooked adf variant that can store sector headers: sector header data is appended at the end of normal ADF. Only enabled if ADF file size is exactly (80 to 82) * (512 + 16) * (11 or 22) * 2. Practically useless because almost no program uses sector headers and extended adf can already store them (but only in raw mfm form). GUI create disk image creator won't support it.
- Lagless vsync stability improvements. Current raster line polling removed, replaced with scanline calculation using last vsync time and total scanlines. Raster line polling causes huge GPU driver stalls.
- IVS Trumpcard *.driver to boot ROM automatic conversion didn't support older single hunk driver file versions.

Après plusieurs mois de beta, ce gestionnaire de ROMs connait une nouvelle version majeure officielle. Il est censé avoir plus de fonctionnalités et un code plus propre que la v2, mais le site officielle n'est pas très précis sur les changements apportés; vous pouvez toujours piocher quelques informations avec les sorties des différentes release candidates du programme sur le site officiel.

Une nouvelle beta de cet émulateur Amiga a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- AGA border sprites enabled: sprite was still clipped to horizontal display window end. (b3)
- Fastlane SCSI DMA controller address configuration emulation was incomplete. (Address bus is used for bits 0 to 23, upper 8 data bits for 24 to 31)
- A2024 monitor didn't show full viewable area. (4.0) It still won't work correctly if multimonitor mode is enabled. A2024 is a special case, it is basically display port adapter but it is not hardwired to chipset timing/display size/position like all other display port adapters.
- Remaining (?) GUI update glitch fixed. (b2)
- Added Trojan light gun preset to Game ports panel. Trojan fire button is joystick left. Standard light pen/gun fire button is 3rd mouse/joystick button.
- PPC board without ROM or zero size ROM and 68060 CPU with FPU: Generated fake boot ROM didn't include FPU disable boot code. Since 4.1.0 68060 FPU is not disabled when emulated accelerator board is configured.

Une nouvelle version de ce fichier informatif pour MAME a été publiée. Au programme, une réorganisation des jeux des software lists:
New version of the History.dat is available. BIG CHANGES has been made for machines with multiple softlists:

BEFORE (roms were mixed):

AFTER (roms are placed in their unique softlist):

$apple2_flop_orig=factory, (<= this is the original version of the game)

Nothing changes for the user or for your favorite gui/frontend, except the History.dat is cleaner as never it has be. (and many missing information are now correctly shown and MANY Apple II info were added)

Cette deuxième fournée de fichiers additionnels pour MAME v0.215 fait remonter certains fichiers qui n'avaient pas été mis à jour depuis longtemps, comme Command.dat. Voici les modifications apportées:
BestGames.ini v0.215 (1.23):
- 2019/11/02 1.23: Online the version 0.215; 5 new games added (3,409 games evaluated).

Command.dat v0.215 (1.00):
- 1.00 0.215 02/11/2019: File completely revised. Thanks to a great work of Fabricio2012: 150 deleted and 6 items added.
- Important notes from Fabricio:
*I started change the view mode, cause, all .dat files have a different view.
*Some of them get a good view, but some of them, just a little needs some revision, if M.A.M.E. had some formatting method, could be help a lot, but, for now, this is not possible.
*I took as based the Japanese Command list. It's only Longhand e more easy to understand.
*I removed a lot of abbreviations that I created before, I have to admit, some of them, I don't know what mean.
*I changed a lot of move explanation to some more complete, I think will be more helpful.
*I add some codes, moves and other stuff, but I changed everything, so, I don't remember which games I changed in specific.
*I remove some bootleg and prototype games (for while), I think this games needs your own specific list, cause, some of them change to much regarding the final version.
* The last game (X-Men: Children of the Atom) have a bad view with some buttons cropped, i don't know why for now.

Richard Bannister vient d'annoncer une nouvelle version MacOS de ce lecteur de fichiers audio de jeux vidéo. Les versions pour les autres systèmes d'exploitation n'ayant pas été annoncées ailleurs (elles sont peut-être très anciennes, mais je n'ai trouvé aucune trace de publication!), on va faire un tir groupé. Les améliorations (MacOS) sont les suivantes:
I'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of Audio Overload 2.1 for macOS. The main change in this release is a 64-bit rewrite of the user interface code, though I have made some additional changes under the bonnet as follows:
- Overhauled the Orchestra-90 playback code. The result isn't perfect yet but it sounds far closer to the real thing than in previous releases. I'd like to acknowledge Jon Bokelman for providing invaluable assistance with my understanding of the format.
- Added support for newer versions of the VGM file format, and hooked up a number of chips that were already supported for other file formats. VGM playback now supports the AY8910, HuC6280, SAA1099, SN76496, Y8950, YM2149, YM2151, YM2203, YM2610, YM2612, YM3526, and YM3812. Files using unsupported chips will display a warning.
- Fixed a divide by zero crash in the MOD playback code.
- Added a new "Aggressive Amplification" option. This is a variant on the existing normalise option that will keep the volume level as loud as possible using a rolling two second window. This may be useful for tracks with dramatic volume changes; it is turned off by default.
- Exporting of WAV files will now automatically stop if the end of the song is reached and/or there is no output for five seconds.
- Updated to zlib 1.2.8.
