Une nouvelle version considéré comme majeure par son auteur de cet émulateur Nintendo 64 pour MacOSX a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
What's new in this version of sixtyforce:
- Moved controller settings into the preferences window and built a new interface.
- USB controllers can now have more than one configuration.
- Controller configuration now includes calibration when necessary.
- Added controller defaults for the PS4 controller.
- Game freezes now run automatically when opened.
- Opening game freezes will now disable auto-saving without asking.
- Code cache now recycles blocks.
- New low-level graphics processing.
- Automatic switching to the new low-level graphics when SFGL can’t handle a microcode.

Cette dernière beta de WinUAE propose seulement des correctifs. En voici la liste:
- b2 HAM update was incomplete and broken, nr_color_changes check was not fully working. (b2)
- Display panel missing translations added (autoresolution and brightness/contrast/gamma)
- Some file operations (zipped files, possibly something else too) didn't support recently introduced relative "..\" path part update.
- Copper emulation state was not fully reset when restoring state file, in some situations copper may have modified restored custom register in next cycle after state was restored.

Une nouvelle version de cet émulateur Amiga pour Windows a été publié. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Relative path improvement broke CDFS CD mounting in some configurations.
- Ungrab (b4) event didn't disable mouse capture when it was activated in fullscreen modes.
- VPOS LOF bit toggles (if interlace) exactly 2 cycles before first refresh slot. Logic analyzer tested.
- Copper vblank strobe also stopped the copper if DMA was disabled and second strobe register was accessed previously. Broke in 280b1. (Sequential / Andromeda first screen)
- More accurate BPL1DAT emulation. (Glitches appeared in Sequential / Andromeda magnet part's left border when one pixel gap in Rink a Dink / Lemon rotozoomer part white border was fixed)
- 8-bit split (odd/even) roms didn't load if merged parent was missing.

Cet émulateur multi-systèmes a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Use a semaphore to allow for tighter emulation-thread->video-thread blit timing granularity.
- PC-FX: Battery-backed save game memory is now saved to a file during runtime if the memory contents have changed, rather than only saved on exit as before.
- NES: Fixed unusably-broken emulation of iNES mapper 80's internal battery-backed save-game RAM(used by "Minelvation Saga", "Mirai Shinwa Jarvas", and "Taito Grand Prix").
- NES: Implemented battery-backed save game support for iNES mapper 69(for the two or so games that need it).
- NES: Fixed multiple major issues with the iNES mapper 69 save state code.
- NES: Added missing PowerPad default button assignments.
- NES: Fixed how Mahjong, Family Trainer, and PowerPad input device code reads input data, to fix brokenness on big-endian platforms, and to prevent (mostly benign) buffer overflows.
- NES: Fixed some buffer overflow issues in the "Barcode World" barcode reader input device emulation code.
- NES: Changed how save state loading works so that failure to load one section will not abort loading, but signal a deferred error(most useful with missing input device sections).
- Fixed some careless unsafe instances of "-2147483648" added since 0.9.34.1.
- PSX: Draw lightgun crosshairs in a separate pass to the lightgun color/brightness evaluation logic, so that crosshairs from a lightgun on a lower port won't mess up the color evaluation logic of a lightgun on a higher port.
- PSX: Refactored the lightgun crosshair drawing code to reduce code duplication, and made some changes to the drawing algorithm to increase visibility(and make the crosshairs not lopsided anymore).
- Pack IDIT_X_AXIS and IDIT_Y_AXIS input types in 2 bytes, 1-byte-aligned, instead of 4 bytes, 4-byte-aligned.
- NES: Fixed some minor issues with the lightgun coordinate translation calculations(hopefully for the last time :p).
- PSX: Fixed a bug in the Guncon and Justifier emulation code that resulted in memory corruption when the crosshairs were positioned near the upper left corner of the screen.
- NES: Fixed a bug in the iNES mapper 71 code that was causing Mednafen to crash when trying to play "Dreamworld Pogie".
- NES: Made some improvements to the new X24C01P/X24C02P EEPROM emulation code, though it's still a bit messy.
- NES: Added support for iNES mapper 159.
- NES: Added emulation of mapper 16's EEPROM.
- NES: Fixed a bug that was causing some of the Bandai Datach games to have corrupt graphics.
- NES: Reworked how the Zapper crosshairs are drawn to fix the problem of them being drawn at the wrong position if "nes.clipsides" is set to "1"(and to render with 8bpp and 16bpp video output, and to update properly in respect to MDFN_MidLineUpdate(); though neither is currently used by Mednafen per-se, they are useful for ports).
- NES: Fixed a design flaw that could easily cause desync during netplay with an emulated Zapper if different clients' video settings are different.
- Cleaned up some of the netplay code to increase maintainability.
- Changed how the Linux joystick code de-initializes joysticks when rumble has been used, to try to minimize the probability of a kernel panic due to buggy(race conditions) Linux kernel drivers.
- PSX: Added emulation of GPU IRQs.
- PSX: Implemented support for GPU command number mirrors.
- NES: Added SSE2 code to the sound resampler, but currently disabled(#if 0'd out) as it will probably perform worse than the MMX version on a large number of CPU models.
- NES: Made some general minor optimizations to the sound resampling code.
- NES: Add "memory" to the clobber list of the sound resampler's MMX inline assembly MAC loop code.
- PSX: Improved accuracy of GPU line drawing algorithm.
- WonderSwan: Improved noise(sound) emulation(thanks to trap15).
- PSX: Optimized(reduced memory usage) layout of the GPU command table.
- Added gcc format string check attributes to the applicable trio function prototypes, and fixed a few minor problems the checks uncovered.
- Fixed a compilation error when compiling without the debugger(--disable-debugger passed to the configure script).
- PSX: Fixed a glitch/bug in the triangle rasterization code that was causing some textured rectangular quads to have incorrect distortion of the texture(see "I" of "OPTIONS" in the Twisted Metal 2 title screen).
- Implemented MDFND_WaitCondTimeout() (currently unused by anything, though).
- Make the "wasapish"(WASAPI shared-mode) sound driver the default sound driver for where it's available(Windows Vista and newer).
- PCE, PC-FX: Implemented CD-DA de-emphasis filter support(though the filter is a rough approximation).
- PCE, PC-FX: Optimized CD-DA filtering code, and implemented an SSE2 version of the oversampling filter code, to partially mask the performance hit that the oversampling filter causes.
- PCE, PCFX: Loosened output resampling filter design constraints so that the resampler doesn't take excessive amounts of CPU time with higher(96KHz+) output rates(made feasible by implementing CD-DA oversampling).
- PCE, PC-FX: CD-DA is now run through a 2x oversampling filter(this does have a minor performance penalty to it though, sadly).

La nouvelle beta de WinUAE est déjà la RC1. Toni Willen est pressé de sortir la prochaine version stable! Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- New relative path mode worked badly under Windows XP, possibly up to Windows 7 without SP1.
- "Toggle between mouse grabbed and un-grabbed" input event has not done anything at all for ages (if ever).
- "Switch between audio interpolation methods" input event probably has never done anything at all, probably totally useless (custom events works as well) but at least it works now..
- 2.8.0 translation dlls are accepted now.

La série de beta de WinUAE continue mais ne devrait pas être cette fois trop longue. En attendant, voici les améliorations:
- Do not show "hpos = 256!?" error dialog if something writes very bad values to programmed display mode registers.
- "Magic mouse" now stays disabled unless there is at least one open Intuition Screen.
- If relative path mode, support also relative paths that point outside of winuae root directory.
- BPLCON2 KILLEHB bit still required AGA instead of ECS Denise. This was supposed to be fixed in 1.4.5. (But no one cares, pre-AGA it was only meant for genlock stuff)
- Removed "Unimplemented error" dialog if directory filesystem returns unhandled/unknown win32 disk error codes, adds log message, returns ERROR_OBJECT_NOT_AROUND. (Most common causes are network filesystem problems, file/directory errors due security problems etc, no new missing errors reported for long time)
- On the fly (not using GUI) switching from Automatic resize filter to another filter mode may have incorrectly changed window size in some situations.

 Hommage à Zapier

C'est avec la plus grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Xavier Minguet, alias Zapier, membre du site et de notre communauté depuis de nombreuses années. Il nous a quitté le 24 mai dernier après un long combat contre la maladie.
Zapier était un exemple de gentillesse, n'hésitant pas à apporter son aide et un vrai fan de jeu vidéo comme le montre le nombre incroyable d'articles posté sur le site dont notamment La vie d'un joueur des années 80 à 2000, véritable ode à sa passion. Artiste en herbe, c'est lui qui a redesigné l'ensemble du site et du forum. Autant donc dire que le site ne serait jamais ce qu'il est sans sa contribution.
Toutes nos pensées vont pour sa femme et son fils dans ces moments difficiles.
Il laissera un vide irremplaçable...
Pour ceux qui l'ont connu (ou non), n'hésitez pas à laisser un message sur le forum pour lui rendre un dernier hommage.

Merci Xavier pour tout ce que tu as fait et repose en paix. Tu nous manques déjà mec...

Les joueurs ne souhaitant pas passer par un logiciel tiers comme PEC pour utiliser des codes de triches pour leurs jeux PlayStation ne sont pas oubliés. En effet, ce pack de codes à utiliser directement avec ePSXe a été mis à jour. Les modifications n'ont pas été précisées, mais il y a de grandes chances qu'on retrouve les mêmes changements que pour la liste de PEC.

Celle nouvelle version d'Emu Loader corrige principalement quelques bugs. Voici la liste des changements:
Changed
- Changes to the thumbnails view mode; thanks to Fabian for reporting bugs on this feature and helping with beta testing
*thumbnail cell resize when hiding game titles
*if using game fonts of different sizes (parent font, clones font, preliminary font, etc) the thumbnail cell will update based to the biggest font, to fix screen garbage
*thumbnail cell resize when editing game fonts (parent, clones, preliminary, etc)... no need to be in thumbnails view mode
*thumbnails settings screen updated to include a "Confirm" button (apply settings and close dialog)
*new setting "Keep Aspect Ratio", enabled by default. If you want the image to fill the entire thumbnail cell, uncheck this option
*new generate thumbnail function to work with aspect ratio disabled; this one also does anti-aliasing... sharpening code from previous function actually made thumb images worse!!
*fixed huge ammounts of memory leaks by placing GlobalThreadManager.FlushMessageCache() calls BEFORE reinitializing thumbnails... same fix for MAMu_ icons
- Search bar changes
*removed fiter title bar; edit box hint now show the current filter title
*a grayed out "Search games..." text is displayed if edit box is empty
*buttons/icons size changed to match the edit box
*removed filter search pattern button and replaced it by a small down arrow button inside the edit box (preliminary)
*edit box width increased by 20 pixels

Added
- New setting "Show Games Status Bar", enabled by default. Unckeck it to hide the status bar below the games list (main menu "View")

Ce frontend pour émulateurs arcade (principalement) a été mis à jour. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
Fixed
- Game info and game icon displayed when editing MAME/HBMAME custom settings: horizont.ini; vertical.ini; debug.ini; vector.ini
- Hint texts not showing on some menu items
- Splash screen resize function for 740x480 / 640x480 resolutions was being executed on every FormShow() call. It should be executed only once
- Messages dialog height is bigger than Windows resolution if the text is too long. Fix for all resolutions, not just low res
- Minor interface tweaks

Changed
- Moved driver status settings from customize columns dialog / View Mode tool bar button to preference screen, "Games List" page. It makes more sense. The customize columns dialog exists purely to change columns positions, visibility and their sizes (details/grouped view modes). Read/write settings also moved from [Configuration] to [Preferences] section (EmuLoader.ini)
- The following screens/dialogs automatically adapt their layouts to fit 640x480 / 720x480 resolutions (only when needed)

- Support to read/write mame.ini in "emu_dir\ini\" sub-folder
- Detection of "drivername.ini" files in "emu_dir\ini\" folder along with "emu_dir\ini\source\" on set/delete custom driver options (MAME/HBMAME)
- Small tool bar buttons is back! Icons size used is 28x22 pixels (main menu "View" / "Tool Bar Buttons" or customize tool bar dialog). The main filter button only show the "all games" icon no matter what filter is selected
- Read/write support for "arcade.ini" config file, exclusive for UME v0.153ex2 and newer (games popup menu, Custom Settings sub-menu)
Watch game video previews using a media player of your choise. This feature was created with "Media Player Classic Home Cinema" portability in mind... http://mpc-hc.org
*any video/audio format is supported as long as you have the codec installed in Windows and/or an application to play them
*only the first file found is played if there are multiple files with same gamename but different extensions (TSearchRec search pattern: gamename.*)
*any media player application that load video/audio from the command line can be used
*feature settings located in "Video Preview" page, preferences screen and saved in "el_dir\ini_files\video_preview.ini" file
*command line parameters support for more control over the media player (switches) - a %1 tag is required so it can be replaced by the video/audio filename (no surrounding quotes required)
*relative paths are relative to the frontend, not emulators
*folder recursive scan is NOT supported to avoid dog-slow file search, excessive disk reading and pointless waste of RAM/CPU resources
*executable or batch files can be used
*media player parameters are saved based on the app filename, you can have as many media players setup as you want. Emu Loader will remember parameters for each of them :)
*manual playback: "Shift-V" shortcut; "Play Video Preview" in games popup menu or button in images tool bar buttons; assigned button for arcade controllers
*setting "AutoPlay" to play videos as you select games (disabled by default for safety reasons)
*setting "Parent Game Video" to play video of parent game, if selected game is a clone and the video is not found (disabled by default)
*setting "Play Videos Enabled" to toggle the feature ON/OFF in case you wish to completely disable this feature (enabled by default)
- Columns header custom font. That's right, now you can customize the header font in details/grouped view mode. Found in games popup menu and preferences screen, "Games List" page
