Si nous nous efforçons de vous faire découvrir (ou redécouvrir) un nouveau jeu chaque semaine, il est parfois nécessaire de revenir sur des tests plus anciens.
Cette semaine, deux articles ont subi un petit lifting :
-Dragon Force, qui bénéficie de nouveaux screenshots (les anciens venaient d'autres sites), et de l'ajout de sa fantabuleuse musique de fin.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3, qui n'est plus à présenter, et qui a été entièrement revu et corrigé.
Par ailleurs, si certains anciens articles remontent à la surface, c'est normal : c'est que des erreurs ont été trouvées - et corrigées.

On reste dans l'émulation Saturn mais cette fois-ci avec Yabause qui est multi-OS: cart: - Fixed a couple of bugs with Netlink emulation. cd block: - Tweaked error handling for cue files so it's more helpful to the user. scu: - Fixed a bug in DSP MVI instruction. - Fixed a bug with DSP Program Ram Address. - Fixed ALU behaviour on NOP. - Other bug fixes. vdp2: - Fixed a bug where coefficient reading wasn't making sure reads weren't going out of bounds. - Tweaked frame-skipping so it only skips if frame time is faster/slower than a 1/2 a frame. | GameBase est un frontend open source multi-émulateurs très simple à utiliser, qui vous permet de gérer vos roms, musiques et captures d'écrans. Vous pouvez aussi créer autant de bases de données que vous souhaitez, ou importer les dat de Romcenter. Un frontend multilingue à tester. |

Cet émulateur Saturn pour Linux, Dreamcast, MacOS et Windows a été mis à jour. Les nouveautés sont assez nombreuses: 0.9.0 -> 0.9.1 scsp: - Fixed slot pitch LFO. Les amateurs de la Sega Saturn seront contents d'apprendre que des listes de compatibilité concernant les dernières version de deux des émulateurs les plus aboutis de cette console viennent d'être publiées.
Cela sur un site nommé Emu-Compatibility, qui se trouve à être le plus complet en la matière. (Pour ceux qui ne le connaissent pas, peut-être connaissez-vous son créateur : Benjamin Siskoo, plutôt connu pour son site de traduction française d'émulateurs : Tradu-France.)
Pour l'émulateur japonais SSF v0.09 (Prototype Release 1 et 2), c'est un total de 170 jeux qui ont été testés. Qui plus est, cette liste contient même de nouveaux titres (par rapport à la celle de la version précédente). Nous devons cela à Corrigo, Kabuto et Benjamin Siskoo qui testent des jeux ad nauseam !
En ce qui concerne Yabause v0.9.0 (créé par Guillaume Duhamel), 162 jeux ont subi un test de compatibilité.
Il s'agit là d'un véritable travail de moine dont il en résulte une ressource indispensable et unique pour les utilisateurs de ces émulateurs.
