On assiste actuellement à une résurrection des Advance Projects qui étaient latents depuis des années. Voici donc une nouvelle version d'AdvanceMAME. Attention cependant, ce build est toujours basé sur MAME v0.106, c'est à dire une version plus toute jeune! Avis aux amateurs, donc.... Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Fixed compilation with modern compilers.
- Fixed the "alsa" audio driver in Linux. In modern distributions it was generating no sound.
- Fixed a crash at exit when SMP is enabled.
- Added a new option display_magnifysize to define the area to target with display_magnify auto.
- Renamed the 'scale' video effect to 'scalex'.
- Added the new 'xbr' video scaling effect. Better than 'hq'.
- Added the new 'scalek' video effect. Better than 'scalex' and faster than 'xbr'.
- If display_resizeeffect is auto, the default effect is now 'xbr', but it's decreased at runtime to 'scalek', or 'scalex' if speed is required.
- Removed blitting cache optimization. With modern caches it's not needed anymore.
- Changed default doc/man dirs to prefix/doc and prefix/man.
- Now in git repository.
- Removed DLL files from the Windows distribution. New new compiler uses static libraries.
- Compiled with SDL-1.2.14, zlib-1.2.5, expat-2.0.1, freetype-2.4.4, pthreads-w32-2-8-0.

Une mise à jour rapide de cet émulateur Commodore 64 a été effectuée. Voici les améliorations apportées:
1) Added the EasyFlash 1MB cartridge. A simplified emulation of the AMD Am29F040 EPROM permits writing and passes EasyProg v1.6.3 tests.
2) Fixed freeze and soft reset to spread randomly through the frame to improve the chance of a successful freeze.

- Get OS X compiling again
- Fixed undeclared GPU_FRAME_LIMIT.
- Some patch somewhere changed the file reference of the ExtendedKeys headers in the GPU plug-ins. reverting that.
- Setting end-of-line metadata.
- Implement fast-forward in the display plug-ins for OS X.

- Ignoring Xcode 4 generated files.
- Incorporating changes from the GTK memory manager.

Une nouvelle mise à jour de ce frontend a été publiée. Les améliorations sont les suivantes:
- Fixes memory usage issues with preview video player.
- MP4 files now play out of the box on Windows 8 although other codecs are still highly recommended.
- Updated Game Info and Xpadder plugins by Adultery. Thank you for all your hard work
- GameEx now exits a little qucker.

- Added support for large count of boards and mappers (almost full set)
- Added external sound channels (MMC5, Namcot106, Sunsoft5 and VRC6)
- Added SDL .NET renderer which render using sdl dotnet library.
- Added ability to support multi-renderer.
- Added filtering tool for the browser.

Une nouvelle version de cet frontend a été publiée. Voici la liste des changements apportés:
Fixed
- Applied a dirty fix for the "gamename.zip not found" message, for sets with no ROMs ("Game Details" screen)
- "Ghost" effect not being applied to unchecked files in "Delete Selected Games" feature
- MAME games with no ROMs were being handled as "missing ROMs" (pongf, ide_baseboard, hdd, and others from MAME Plus!)
- Proper MAME NVRAM file type detection ("Delete Selected Games" feature). This is just a cosmetic fix, to display correct file type descriptions...
- Fixed my TShadowLabel component. It was cutting 3 pixels at the right side and 1 pixel at the bottom. The regular TLabel component also does that when text have "Italic" style enabled or the component is set to "disabled"
- Menu item caption was appearing as hints in some menus/popup menus
- Button "Yes" being executed when pressing "ENTER" key, while button "No" is focused (MessageBox screen)

Changed
- Rewrite of "Emulator Setup" screen. A new "glowing text" unit is in for testing (might be removed/replaced in a future build)
- To avoid repaint crazyness (like TLabel component), the new "CreateGlowText()" function can only be used with TImage components
- Visual updates on a few screens that have "emulator select" and "image category select" panels and/or screens
- Rewrite of "Image Category / Image Layouts" settings screen and fixed a few visual bugs

Improved
- Delete multiple games at once has been completely rewritten.
*Added game config files (cfg; nvram; eeprom; sram; flash) to "Delete Selected Games" feature. Also added ".flash" files detection for Demul (nvram folder)
*ALL selected games are now scanned, not just available ones. This is necessary since config files are included in the search, and you might have config files but not the actual ROMs/CHDs files
*Files list no longer appear while scrolling the games list. Instead, a "Files Details" button is available if you want to see the full files list (all games or selected games)
*IMPORTANT: You cannot select individual files per game to delete anymore. A new checkbox group has been created, called "Check File Types to Delete".
There are three options: "ROMs", "CHDs" and "CFGs/NVRAMs". Just check the file types you want to delete and uncheck the ones you want to keep. It's very simple
- Rewrite of "Show Game Details" screen and a few optimizations. Still not final... I'm not yet happy with how it looks
- Buttons "No" / "Yes" re-arranged in MessageBox screen. Button "No" should be on the right side...
- Replaced open/save file dialogs by Windows native dialogs. The proper dialogs are displayed now on Windows 7 :)
- Finally found a way to compile the project with a high res icon with many resolutions, including 256x256

Removed
- Feature "Delete Game Config Files" is no longer needed
- Feature "Delete Not Used Game Config Files". It's way easier to manually empty config folders from all emulators anyway...

Added
- Support for MAME v147u1 new "mame.ini" settings
- It's bigger... it's better... zipped images is BACK!
*Files are extracted directly into a memory stream (RAM). No temporary files are created
*All systems are supported
*If you modify any of the .zip files, Emu Loader must be restarted, or you can disable/enable images (F6 hot-key)
*Files must be placed in the same folders as images, for each system
*None of the rename/delete features support zipped images, because it's ultra mega dog slow to update .zip files
*Each .zip file is closed after the image is loaded. This prevent files from being locked and always opened...
*The priority is still unzipped images. If no unzipped images are found (both parent and clone), .zip files are searched
*Use of internal string lists for faster file searching
*Filenames for each image category (same as MAME Plus! / MAMEUI). Same filenames for all emulators as well:

* Notes:
1. if you select the same image folder for different systems, the same .zip file will be used!
eg.: select same folder for snaps in MAME and ZiNc. EL will search images for both systems using the same "snap.zip" file
2. Searching internal lists, it takes zero ms (milliseconds) on a list with 30 thousand items (15 ms on a list with 60 thousand items, 30 ms on a 120 thousand list... and up on larger lists)
Unzipping files takes between 15 ms to 50 ms, depending on how big or small the .zip file is. This is measured on a Core I7 2600 3.4GHz)

Une nouvelle version de travail de cet émulatur multi-systèmes a été publiée. Voici d'abord un résumé des nouveautés puis la version complète pour les puristes:
Especially notable end-user-visible changes with this release:
- Improved PS1 emulation.
- Linux joystick code is now less strict about proper device permissions.
- Reduced SNES/SFC input latency by 1 video frame.
- Added optional CD disc image memory caching feature, controlled by the "cd.image_memcache" setting.
- Resolved a problem with the NES/Famicom sound emulation code that could cause extreme CPU usage under certain conditions when emulating a game that has expansion chip sound(for example, FDS games).

The following settings have been added:
- nes.correct_aspect
- cd.image_memcache

December 20, 2012:
- Removed some old unused code from the memory debugger.
- PSX: The debugger's disassembler will now pull instructions from the instruction cache, if it's valid(and fall back to the memory map data if it's not).
- NES: Fixed a bug in the FDS state loading routine that could cause sound issues(wrong volume of FDS sound channel).
- NES: Replaced a floating-point filter used when expansion sound is in use with a 64-bit fixed-point integer math filter,
to fix a problem of massive performance degradation in some circumstances(probably due to denormals).
- NES: Fixed a bug that was causing a crash when Game Genie emulation was enabled while trying to emulate an FDS game.
- Don't make use of errno in FileWrapper::read when handling an unexpected EOF.
- NES, SNES: Replaced usage of stdio file access with FileStream usage.

December 19, 2012:
- Fixed a startup multithreading race condition with QuickTime and WAV file recording.
- PC-FX: Resolved a few compiler warnings.

- NES: Added setting "nes.correct_aspect".
- Attempt to open a Linux (joystick) event device read-only if opening it for read+write fails, so at least some of the enhanced functionality will be available on Linux distributions with partially broken device permissions.

- PSX: Run EXE-loading MIPS binary code from a cacheable segment so it doesn't take so long to run.

December 15, 2012:
- SNES: Changed frame/system synchronization point logic, to reduce input latency by 1 video frame(~17ms).
- SNES: The setting "snes.correct_aspect" setting now supports the unique PAL aspect ratio with PAL games(rather than just correcting the aspect ratio per NTSC as before)
- SNES: Fixed a bug that was causing distorted vertical scaling with PAL games.

December 12, 2012:
- PSX: Improved CDC "ID" command emulation, fixes a problem with music in "WipEout 3".
- PSX: Changed how end-of-disc is handled while CD-DA is playing, per tests on a PS1; fixes a major problem with "Wu-Tang - Shaolin Style" during its startup.

December 11, 2012:
- PSX: Added a kludge to the CDC logical seek emulation code to fix the problem of missing music in "Gran Turismo 1".
- PSX: More DMA emulation revising.

December 10, 2012:
- PSX: Force DMA channel 6's channel control register bit1 to 1, per tests on a PS1.

December 9, 2012:
- PSX: Added use of MDFN_LIKELY() and MDFN_UNLIKELY() to the CPU core.
- Added MDFN_LIKELY() and MDFN_UNLIKELY() macros to provide crude branch prediction hints to the compiler.

- PSX: Added preliminary instruction cache emulation, fixes problems with "Formula One 99", "Formula One 2000", and "Formula One 2001".
- PSX: Corrected the value in the CPU product ID register.

December 5, 2012:
- PSX: Improved GPU info control port command emulation, per tests on a PS1.
- PSX: Reset more GPU state on software(via control port) reset, per tests on a PS1.

December 2, 2012:
- PSX: Initialize NTSC vertical and horizontal GPU display timings properly on software reset(via the GPU control port),
per tests on a PS1(the horizontal timings might not be 100% correct, but they probably are).
- PSX: Increased the amount of NTSC horizontal overscan shown.
- PSX: Revamped GPU vertical display timing model, per tests on a PS1(the old model was Quite Wrong), and made the visible
vertical 240-pixel "viewport" match standard PS1 NTSC game vertical timings.
- PSX: Ignore lower bit of the GPU framebuffer X readout coordinate, per tests on a PS1.
- Made CUE sheet parser slightly stricter.
- Added setting, "cd.image_memcache", default value of "0", that when enabled will cause any referenced data files in CUE and TOC sheets to be loaded entirely into memory on startup, and cause the non-multithreaded CD reader interface to be used
rather than the reader interface that uses an additional thread, for that emulated CD.

November 16, 2012:
- Replaced various instances of "__attribute__((unused))" with MDFN_NOWARN_UNUSED, a macro defined in types.h.
- Removed nonutilized file "git-virtb.h".

November 13, 2012:
- PCE_FAST: Comment out a debug print statement in the CPU emulation core.
- PCE_FAST: Fixed a heap overflow bug when loading excessively large ROM images.

November 6, 2012:
- Fixed a compiler warning in the Linux joystick code that could hypothetically be treated as an error by some compiler(configurations).
- In the Linux joystick code, Directly include instead of relying on it being included by .

November 5, 2012:
- Removed internal input button data encoding method "IDIT_BUTTON_BYTE", as the sole user of it(Family Keyboard) has been changed to not use it, and it is wasteful(especially with netplay).
- NES: Simplified Family Keyboard emulation, and compacted the key state.
- NES: Removed unused members from emulated input device definition structures.

November 4, 2012:
- Don't error out if the corresponding evdev to a jsdev device can't be opened, and instead rely on legacy jsdev functionality only, as Mednafen versions prior to 0.9.25-WIP would.

November 3, 2012:
- The "SDL" audio driver/output method now respects the "sound.period_time" setting.

November 2, 2012:
- PCE: Fixed a rather obvious major problem with the (incomplete/preliminary) MCGenjin emulation code.
- Added missing sizeof(RAWINPUTDEVICELIST) parameter to a GetRawInputDeviceList() call in the Win32 DirectX joystick code. It's probably not strictly necessary now when viewed in context, but may be in the future if Microsoft does something weird, which Microsoft tends to do, so better safe than sorry. Thanks to zeromus for pointing it out.

- VB: Completely removed the deprecated and disabled code for support for ".bin" file extension.

- NES: Changed filter parameters for a "nes.soundq" setting of "-2", increasing the computational complexity slightly, so that games like "Solstice" and "Mega Man 2" don't sound like whining messes.

October 19, 2012:
- Cleaned up TODO file a bit, migrating some of the useful data into the general documentation.
- PCE_FAST: Brought aspect ratio correction in line with the "pce" module(which is about what it should be).
